You wanna be baffled?
'Cause you're about to be.
Powered by the lack of any better ideas the 4 of us headed to Pamela, the psychic woman who taught me how to shot out the voices in my head. Mostly... As I stated earlier she was damn good at her job, I mean a famously respectable, no wonder we turned to her to figure out what's the deal with the blisters on Dean's shoulder.
She consorted with spirits who were also in the dark. That's not an euphemism. Well, it is. What I wanna say is: they knew nothing. This also meant that we needed to kick-start Plan B which was a simple séance that allowed Pam to take a look at the mystery monster of the week we were tracking. It was easy, really, the 5 of us had more than enough spiritual energies to perform such a stunt with no difficulties. She kept me close for safety reasons, you know I've done things like that in the past with her so she trusted me to step in if something goes wrong.
We started the séance and everything went smoothly. She found the spirit, talked to them, they answered, even gave us their name. However, they refused to let us know who they were, why would they save Dean from the Pit and warned us not to pry. Pam didn't the advice which led to her demise.

She took a look at whatever she was talking to and as she started creaming in pain her eyes lit up like candles. Never seen such a thing I my entire life. We couldn't do anything to help her. In a matter of seconds, her eyes burnt out. Literally.
We rushed to the ER where the doctors did what they could but there was no way to restore her eyesight or anything what was in her eye sockets.
The guys headed out to find more clues on this thing who was going by the name 'Castiel'. It sounded awfully familiar to my ears.
I remained at the hospital with Pam. She was stabilized rather quickly, thank goodness, and she was able to speak to me before the doctors drugged her. I asked for her forgiveness for not being able to stop what happened, it was on me that she lost her eyes that day and yet Pam was so kind to me. She said she'd cry a river over it if she had anything to channel her tears with and laughed.
Pam told me about what she saw: a creature unlike what any of us ever seen. Impossible to describe, as she put it. A beast larger than life what had multiple heads and wherever it went light followed. That's what set her eyes on fire. I nodded my head and said all the right things to comfort Pamela but I was certain she was under the influence of medication by the time when she shared this intel. It seemed way too farfetched, even for me who was possessed by a 3000 years old Celtic witch in a parish church in front of a possibly dead Anglican priest less than 6 months ago. (That's indeed a very strange sentence to say.)
I stayed by her bedside all night; only slept for a few hours. Bobby came for me in the morning and we left for South-Dakota, back to the old junkyard. He said I needed to come because I might be in danger, again. Like that never gets old. "Variety is the spice of life", apparently, demons don't know that saying.
What bothered me though was that he didn't tell me what was going on. No warning, no details, nothing. "Just hurry. It's a long drive" he said and so I did, like the good girl I am.
We arrived shortly after Sam and Dean parked in front of the house and we gathered in the living room where Bobby and Dean told Sam and I about their adventure from last night. They communed with this Castiel fellow.
I was disappointed in Bobby. I genuinely thought he was a reasonable and smart man, and now he risks pulling such a reckless stunt like this with Dean who just got out of no other than bloody Hell itself? Oh, come on. There is a woman in the hospital with her eyes burnt out of her skull, nothing good can come of that. Not like anybody asked about my opinion or anything. Jeez. Seems like a common theme these days. And might I mention that Sam seemed to be perfectly fine with all this which made me the bitching drama queen of the day and created more tension between him and I when I rolled my eyes in disbelief. Anyway, let's go back to the point.
They summoned Castiel in an old barn-like hangar where you can fit in smaller planes. That kind. They decorated the walls with sigils and other symbols to trap whoever shows his face. After a dramatic entrance which shook the building and almost tore off the roof from over their heads he walked in the door making the light explode. What I'm saying is Dean literally stated that sparks were literally flying when Castiel entered the building. They shot him in the chest several times with rounds of rock salt and he didn't bat an eye. He put 2 of his fingers on Bobby's forehead who fainted and fell to the ground in that instance. Castiel only wanted to talk to Dean and nobody else. Two minutes in and he's already picking favourites, huh? What a guy.
According to what Dean said this Castiel person is an "angel of the Lord" and he is the one who pulled him out of Hell. Castiel's currently possessing a vessel (that's a poncy way of saying meatsuit and I should know since I'm from the North), a righteous man who prayed for this so we shouldn't feel sorry for the poor bloke. And about Pamela's eyes, well, he warned her to back off because only a chosen few can hear, understand and see the true form of an angel. The others won't be so lucky. Feel free to guess.
Let me sum it up for you real quick: in about half an hour time Dean revealed to us that:
· There are Angels.
· There is a Heaven.
· There is a God.
· There is no notice of the Eater Bunny or Santa so far but that can change in any minute.
Excuse my French but what the actual fuck...? Yesterday I thought a building sized creature with multiple heads falls way below my sense of quality when it comes to believable stories and now Dean come up with a whole new level of mindfuck in the shape of an anecdote. Nope, I just can't cope with this right now.
