We are almost there.

Only a bit of diversion is needed.

I haven't heard from the boys in ages. The last time when I had a conversation with Dean was when he had ghost-sickness (yeah, that's a thing) and he phoned me to sing him a Beatles song without explaining why. All that time the boys have been searching for Lilith and were on a lookout for a way to stop the demons from breaking more seals. Both tasks seemed impossible until they met this curious fellow called Chuck Shurley. This guy wrote a series of books about the life of Sam and Dean and of course all of us included who were connected to them. The books were printed and published by a small indie company and gained a small cult following, nothing serious I might add. They were not a big hit and after releasing a couple of dozen episodes the publisher put an end to the run of the Supernatural series. Side note: now you can guess where the title of this collection of transcripts comes from.

This man, Shurley, had a series of visions what he described as dreams about what's gonna happen to the Winchesters and he put those prophecies in words. Dean's and my first guess was psychic powers, obviously, but an appearance from Castiel cleared our perspective on how we viewed Chuck. He was in fact a prophet and apparently, his role in the grand scheme of things was to write the Winchester gospel. No joke.

Enough about this empowering story for pulp fiction writers. Let's get back to business, shall we?

How do you know all this if you haven't been in contact - I hear you ask. Well, the day after the boys met the prophet he handed over the draft of the upcoming chapter of the book he's been writing. The story took place right on that day when they met and the astonishing thing is that everything what was mentioned on the pages came true. This was the reason why the final lines terrified the brothers.

Dean took every chance to cut the final scene where Sam has passionate sex with Lilith on a motel bed for unknown reasons. That's about it, the very end remained unseen.

Dean feared for his little brother. He could be killed or he might turn away from the light once and for all. It's only natural that he wished to make the opposite happen. But doesn't matter how hard he tried nothing seemed to work, not even talking sense into that thick skull of Sam's.

One of Dean's final attempts was to call me asking for a favour. Since it wasn't written and the prophet didn't see this in his vision he couldn't reach me. The power went out that night at Bobby's leaving it impossible to contact me or ring me. I couldn't answer the texts he wrote and my battery died before I could charge me phone, same as Bobby's. I suppose that's the universe's way of flipping the bird.

Later of course I received all the messages and what I saw was frightening.

Dean repeatedly asked me to interfere and not to let Samuel have his private time with the leading lady of the demon army.

The voicemail said:

"Say anything to convince him. Anything! If it doesn't work then lie. Tell him you love him, make a speech, write a poem, go Shakespeare on his ass or whatever, I don't care, just do something, please. And pick up the damn phone!"

The next morning when everything went back to normal I texted him back:

we are in one piece for

now. Will talk soon

I thought long and hard about all this and since the term "talk soon" didn't hit me as a friendly way to say good bye I've decided that it was time to put my foot down. Sam needed us, not just Dean or Bobby but me as well.

A few weeks passed and I was ready to make the first move by breaking the ice with the help of a bit of extra lore I could dump on the boys. You know, since they haven't yet had the foggiest of ideas about me having a (fallen) angel pal I believed it would be a great start of getting back together. Opening up about my weird dreams and how I have been saved could be a turning point. So I asked Sam to come on over and let's chat.

After that nothing happened for days. Sam didn't answer and it felt like being rejected so I dropped the bonding idea. Maybe he'll be more willing once we see each other in person which surprisingly came sooner rather than later.
