"What are you here for?" I just bumped into a cute upperclassman. It was Saturday and I was supposed to be with my friend Hannah but she ran off with her boyfriend to hook up in a closet or something. "Nursing." I answered, my lips turning into a smile as I looked into his brown eyes. He grinned. His teeth could blind me, that's how white they were. We were currently at a party since ya know, college students party every Saturday. This was my first time going to one of these parties since I usually stay in the dorm and study. Of course, my luck I would lose my friend and run into a cute guy.
"That's better than what I'm doing." He replied. "What are you doing?" I asked him as I took a sip of my unalcholic drink. "Business administration but it's just a back up plan. I plan on getting a bachelor's degree. Then, I'm going to Nashville to try and become a country singer." The boy said. I smiled. "My name's Lilly by the way." I introduced. "Thomas, you can call me Luke." He said as we shook hands.
"What grade are you in?" Luke asked. "Freshman, how about yourself?" I answered. "Junior." Luke answered.I nodded. I never noticed his southern accent. "I'm taking it you are from Georgia?" I spoke after a few moments of silence between us. Luke grinned. "You guessed by my accent didn't ya?" Luke asked.
"Maybe." I said with a laugh. "Yeah, I am from Lees-Burg. Not far from here." Luke answered. "I'm from Atlanta." I told him, sliding my now empty glass to the bartender. I then looked around for any sign of Hannah.
"You looking for somebody?" Luke spoke before finishing his last gulp. "My friend, Hannah, she left and I have no idea where she went off too. She went off with her boyfriend somewhere." I explained.
"Are you waiting for her to walk to your dorm?" Luke pressed on. I shook my head. "No, I can walk myself but I don't know how drunk she could of gotten so I'm just worried." I replied. "She will show back to your dorm. Want me to walk you back?" Luke asked. "If you don't mind." I answered with a smile.
