In Love With The Girl (Luke Bryan Fan Fiction)

Chapter 12

Luke and I have now been dating for almost six months now. The media and all his fans know about us being official. The past few months have been crazy. Hannah is pregnant with her second baby, which is a boy so Noelle is going to have a brother to play with! My sister Kayla and Ethan are thinking about extending their family but haven't made an official announcement. Also, Gabe turned three two weeks ago so it has been eventful.

As Luke and I get further along in our relationship, Bo and Tate seemed to get closer to me or something. Since Luke is going back on tour and all, I really wanted to stay with Bo and Tate so I decided to take a break from my nursing career.

I always wanted to be a stay at home mom originally so I'm basically doing that but with Luke's little ones instead which I don't mind. They are adorable.

I turned over in the bed as our alarm clock went off and Luke wasn't in bed. I rubbed my hand across his pillow and it was cold. He has been up for a while now, I'm assuming. I got up after shutting off the alarm clock. I threw my messy bed hair into a ponytail before walking downstairs. As I got closer to the bottom of the stairs, I smelt bacon and I was hearing Bo and Tate laugh while Luke talked.

I walked in the doorframe of the kitchen. I leaned against the wall and smiled. Tate and Bo were sitting on the counter as they were helping Luke cook breakfast. "Lilly!" Bo grinned, when he finally noticed. Luke turned and grinned. "What are you doing up? I wanted to make you breakfast in bed on our now six month anniversary of being together." Luke said as I walked up. I wrapped my arms around his waist as he kissed my forehead.

"What better way to celebrate than making breakfast as a family?" I asked with a smile. "Yeah dad!" Bo spoke. Luke and I laughed. "I take you out later to celebrate." Luke whispered in my ear as he got the milk out of the refrigerator.

Luke and I were in the backyard swinging on the hammock while Bo played on the swingset and Tate was playing in the sand box. "This seems like the perfect life." I spoke. "Yeah, once we tie the knot down the road, it will be even better." Luke said. I smiled.

As we were swinging in the hammock, we heard the phone ringing. Luke got up and went inside to answer it.

"Lilly! Come swing with me!" Bo called. I got up and walked over. When Tate saw me, he got out of the sandbox and ran over to me. I picked him up and walked over to the other swing next to Bo. I sat down with Tate in my lap and swing lightly while Bo was going crazy with the swinging. "Be careful, Bo." I warned him.

As we were swinging, Luke came out from the house. He had the phone in hand. He looked concern. I got up from swinging and placed Tate down and walked over. "Everything okay?" I asked.

"That was my niece, Kris. Lee had a heart attack. Massive." Luke explained, rubbing his hand through his hair. Lee was Luke's brother in law. Lee was married to Kelly and they had three children together, Kris, Jordan and Til. I met them all one Sunday when we went to church.

"We need to go to the hospital." Luke said. I nodded. "Come on Bo." Luke called as I grabbed Tate.

Luke and I got the boys buckled in the truck and we headed to the hospital. I made sure Luke was alright as we got to the hospital.

Once we did, I grabbed Bo's hand as Luke carried Tate on his hip and we walked into the emergency room. We immidately saw LeClaire with Til, Kris and Jordan. The three kids eyes were all red and puffy.

Once they saw Luke, they stood up and they hugged. I made sure Bo took a seat by LeClaire as I hugged them all as well. "How is he?" Luke asked.

"He's in surgery but they don't think he will make it." LeClaire said, making Kris and Jordan cry even harder. I could tell Til was not doing good but he was trying to be strong for his older sisters. Luke pulled his two nieces into a hug as I walked over to Til.

He wrapped his arms around me as I rubbed his back. "Everything is going to be okay." I whispered to Til, hoping I was right.

We all waited in the emergency room waiting on Lee's condition. Bo was fast asleep in my arms as Tate fell asleep in LeClaire's.

But soon, a doctor was walking up to us. Luke, Kris, Jordan and Til all stood up as LeClaire and I were holding sleeping kids.

"I'm sorry but we did everything we could. The surgery was going well up towards the end. We did everything. I'm sorry for your loss." The doctor explained. Kris, Jordan and Til hugged each other and cried. They lost both parents. I couldn't imagine that. The sight made me cry as well as LeClaire and Luke.

Looks like we got to bury a family member this coming up week or so. 

Luke, Lilly and the family can't catch a break :( I know in real life Lee sadly passed away during Thanksgiving or around that time. That was too sad to do so I just made it this way. It's also Luke and Lilly's six month anniversary. They have almost been together a year. (told you I would do a timeskip)
