So far, it has been so amazing and relaxing being with Luke while not having to watch the kids or something. We were currently at the beach in Florida. So far Luke has only been recongnized once. I just laid out our blanket and I had my teal two piece on and my hair was in a bun while I had sunglasses on. I already had sunscreen on and I was laying on my back when Luke walked over. He was in his swiming trunks and had no shirt on.
"What are you doing? Aren't you going to get in the water?" Luke asked. I sat up and looked at him. "I want to tan." I told him with a smile.
"Not on my watch." Luke smirked. "Don't you dare." I said, taking off my sunglasses as I knew what he was thinking about.
Luke picked me up, making me squeal before running towards the water. I tried getting out of his grip but he was stronger. "Thomas!" I laughed. "The beach is all about the water, darling." Luke said. Next thing I knew, I felt cold water splashing against my skin as I went under the surface. When I resurfaced, I pushed my hair that was now down from the bun, out of my face. I looked around but I didn't see Luke.
I screamed as I felt something tugging at my ankle. I kicked whatever that had a hold of my grip and tried swimming to shore. Luke resurfaced right next to me, dying of laughter. "Thomas Luther, I thought a shark or something had gotten me!" I said, splashing water over at him. Luke then swam over and wrapped his arms around me, kissing my forehead.
"You don't have a scratch on ya. You are okay." Luke said. I rolled my eyes and smiled.
We stayed in the water for like thirty minutes, riding the waves before we finally got out. "Now can we tan?" I asked.
--------
I was now laying on my stomach fast asleep while taning. "Hey, I got something to show you." Luke gently shook me. I opened my eyes and he was standing over me. His hands looked dirty like he was writing in the sand or something. He held his hand out and I took it. He pulled me up and led me towards the water. I noticed there was writing in the sand but I never thought of anything of it.
I went past the writing because I thought children did it as kids love playing in the sand at the beach. "Turn around, babe." Luke laughed. I turned to see him on one knee. I gasped. In the sand was written:
Will you marry me?
Tears filled my eyes as Luke pulled out a small black box. He had it buried in the sand. "Don't worry, I just buried it." Luke said. I laughed as Luke grabbed my hand.
"I wanted to propose to you on our one year anniversary when we first started dating but that was a few months away and I couldn't wait to do it. That's why I asked to fly you out here alone with no kiddos." Luke explained. I wiped a tear that fell.
"I love you so much, Lilly. You make me the happiest man in the world. You are the most supporitve girlfriend I know. You are amazing to Bo and Tate, even to Til and his sisters. You are just amazing in general. And I love you for that. You are beautiful and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. The boys already consider you another mom to them and they love you, I can tell. Will you do the honors and become Mrs. Bryan?" Luke proposed. By then, the waterworks were already flowing.
I was speechless. I shook my head yes. Luke grinned before sliding the ring onto my finger. He stood up and pulled me in and we kissed for a good couple of minutes.
When we pulled apart, Luke wiped the tears away with his thumb.
"Does the ring fit? I went shopping myself." Luke asked, looking down at my hand.
"It fits perfectly." I smiled.
So Luke PROPOSED! Did any of your predictions correct? There is a few more chapters left but don't worry. There will be a sequel! There are around like four chapters left sadly. Tell me how you think the story will end! Let me know down in the comments and I hoped you enjoyed!
