Chapter 26 - Night

I shoot awake and then everything looks normal. 'I'm home...' I think smiling softly. I stand and look in the mirror. I jump looking into it, then it clears. I see myself in night clothes. Suddenly there is a knock on the door and I say "Come in." I see Lord Fallacy there and smile. Then I remember my dream and all happiness disappears. The repeat of me killing him over and over again plays in my mind. He looks extremely worried as I turn away from him. That nothing feeling consuming me. "Encre... Is something wrong?" He asks me. "What did you dream about last night?" I ask. "Encre..." He says. "Please... Tell me..." I say. "You killing me... And your brother Paint." He says. 'Damn it... Damn it... Damn it...' I think shaking. 'What was I expecting... He's Nightmare... The Dream field... Damn it...' I think with tears pouring down my face. Lord Fallacy looks frightened as he is staring at me. "Encre..." He says. He hugs me from behind. "Fallacy... I'm scared..." I say looking him in the eyes. "I'm so scared..." I say holding onto his arms around my waist. "It... It felt... So real..." I add feeling myself collapse. "It is alright... I'm right here... And in your dream, tell me about it..." Lord Fallacy says. He gently brings me over to the bed and helps me sit. I am shaking slightly. "I woke up in a white room, with nothing in it... Suddenly everything got dark and he showed up...-" I say then Lord Fallacy says "Who showed up, my dear, I want to know all the names and details, so I can help you." I nod. "Nightmare... He called himself Nightmare, he reminds me of Lord Night a little... Then he started talking weirdly then... He said he would help me, before killing me. I woke up sitting in my own dust... Then this yellow demented thing showed up and it was just... So demonic looking... They fought for hours and I fell asleep at some point during the fight. I woke up surrounded by multiple demonic looking things but I could understand a few of them. I freaked out then there were bones surrounding me and they were all surrounding the bones. Then Nightmare came and found me. I was in the dream for years... I killed so many people... So many innocent children and monsters... From so many different timelines... I killed so many people." I say freaking out. "Calm down... You do not need to go on..." Lord Fallacy says hugging me tightly. I hold onto him.

Time skip...

I have not slept in weeks due to the fear of the dream. Lord Fallacy has been by my side the whole time. Today he is taking me somewhere special as he called it. He takes me through a portal and then there is cobblestone beneath us. "That's him!!!" I hear. "Amazing job Fallacy!!!" I hear. "Dream... Save him... He is going to die..." Lord Fallacy begs suddenly. "He will not sleep, he refuses to... He is terrified of hurting people..." Lord Fallacy says. I lift my head slowly and I see the demons. Then it clears and I see a lot of Sans sitting or standing around a table. "Why should he save him!!!" I hear people shout. "Fallacy... Just kill me... I told you... N-No o-one... would... help." I mutter too exhausted to speak. My HP is extremely low as well. "I will not!!!" He says holding me tighter to him since he is carrying me. "Encre..." I hear suddenly. I then see Underlust Sans there. "He was the child with Nightmare..." I hear suddenly. I then see the demonic figure again. I hide myself, into Lord Fallacy terrified. "Dream... He sees you and the positive Sans as demons remember... He cannot see you properly." Lord Fallacy says fear is clear in his voice. I feel a hand on my back and I no longer feel frightened. "Encre... Sleep... Fallacy and I will protect you." I hear from behind me. I relax in Lord Fallacy's arms and I feel myself being lowered down. I fall asleep and I sleep hard.

'Dream'...

I am standing in a field of flowers, of multiple shades of purple, red, pink, blue, yellows and oranges. I am surrounded by the warmth of the sun as it holds every ray in place. I look up to see a sky of blues, with a few perfect clouds spaced out wonderfully. The field is surrounded by spruce trees and there is a castle far off in the distance. I feel so peaceful in this place. I turn to see a hill. I start to walk up the hill and as I near the top is everyone I care about. My parents are there as well. My mother sees me and hugs me tightly. I hug her back as well as my father. I see all the people I have ever cared for even if I hate them now coming up behind the hill. I hug and laugh with every single one of them. I go further up the hill running. I make it to the top to see my brother all grown up with Fallacy and Jasper all grown up. I hug them all and kiss them all. Then everything changes. Paint is dancing with Lord Dream, Jasper is with Suave and Fallacy and I are dancing. It is the Forever ball and I dance spinning around happily. I feel more energy flow through me as I sleep. Things shift again and it is suddenly dark again. I am on my knees covering my head. "Encre... I've been waiting for you..." I hear. I look up to see Nightmare. "You look exhausted... Why haven't you been sleeping?" Nightmare asks me. "I don't want to hurt anyone..." I state scared of him. "It's in your nature, Encre... You might be Mortal currently, but when you're a vampire... You kill people remember?" He says approaching me. I set my hands down in front of me. "I do it... Within reason... Unless... By accident or in desperate need... I hate killing people... I hate it..." I say starting to sob. "ARE YOU GOING TO BETRAY ME!!!" He shouts. "WHAT ABOUT ME!!! WHAT ABOUT WHAT YOU TOLD ME!!!" He shouts scaring me. I place my forehead to the floor sobbing. "ENCRE!!! ANSWER ME!!!" He shouts. I sob harder terrified of him. "Please~!!! Stop~!!!" I beg him while continuing to sob hard. "Encre..." I hear. "I'm so tired~... I'm so scared of everything~... Please~... I'm begging you... Please..." I sob into the ground. I feel myself being lifted up and I flinch hard. "Encre... I'm sorry..." I hear. I feel warm all of a sudden. Everything gets lighter and I see someone else. I see someone in front of me that looks like Lord Night.

They are hugging me tightly as we return to the flower field. "Encre?" I hear them say. I look at them confused. "I am Night..." He says blushing purple. I see myself pixelating suddenly. "You're waking up... Do you still feel tired?" Night asks. I nod. "I'll stop my brother from waking you up." He says pulling me closer. I fall asleep against his chest.

I wake up feeling much better and he smiles at me. "There!!! Do you feel better now?" He asks me. I nod softly. "Thank you..." I say blushing. He smiles a bit brighter. "Dream just gave up trying to wake you up." He laughs. I smile slightly before laughing. We then sit crossed legged in front of each other. We talk and laugh for hours. It goes silent for awhile. "Encre... I'll wait for you here..." Night says suddenly. Then there is a white flash.

'Dream' End...

I open my eyes slowly and everything is slightly blurry. I blink a few times and then I see the cobblestone beneath me. "WHY ISN'T HE WAKING UP!!!" I hear someone shout. I start to raise myself up and there are a few gasps. "I am sure he will wake up Dream." I hear. "WE'VE BEEN TRYING FOR HOURS!!!" I hear. I sit up and I see a bunch of people. They are all Sans. I then stand up with my arms close to my chest. "Why are people yelling?" I ask softly. Fallacy turns and his eyes widen seeing me. He is in front of me in seconds hugging me. "Encre... Thank Toriel..." Fallacy says. I giggle at that. "When Reaper is chasing me, I will." I tease gently. "Hey!" I hear. I sweat drop. I then see Reaper. I hide behind Fallacy. Reaper sweat drops at that then smirks. I take off running and he chases me. "NO!!! REAPER!!!" I shout. He is chasing me and says "REAPER, YES!!!" I then faceplant. He flies over me and Fallacy runs over to me as I am sitting up. "He is... Much different than when he was with Nightmare." I hear. I am tearing up while pouting. Fallacy blushes bright yellow and gets a bleeding nose. "So... Cute... AH!!!" He says before falling backwards. I get really worried and go over to beside him. I lean over him and then he kisses me suddenly. I kiss him back gently then pull back. Tears are in my eyes as I place my forehead against his chest. "I am so sorry... Please... Please... Forgive me..." I beg him starting to cry. "I will always forgive you..." He says smiling gently. "What the hell?" I hear suddenly. "I'm sorry..." I mutter. "Encre..." I hear. I feel myself getting weaker. "Nightmare might have failed... But you're so gullible Encre..." I hear. My grip on Fallacy slips but he catches me. I turn to dust.
