Spending time with the badass

Chapter Three' Really?!?!?!?!

I went downstairs for breakfast because my mom made cinnamon rolls......Which usually meant she had something to tell us. I am not quite sure if I am gonna like because if I was going to like it why would she try and butter me up with tasty treats.?

I plopped down on to the stool by the island awaiting my moms confession.

She gave me a suspicious smile...and I knew something was up.

"Ok spill it mom." I said eyeing the tasty treats behind her.

"What makes you think I have something to tell you."She said with that same smile.

"Mom you made us breakfast..... and you have that creepy smile. I know you need to talk to us" I said trying not to laugh.

Timmy ran in and jumped on the stool next to mine."Yeah mom what is it and get this speech over with fast...because Timmy wants some cinniaman rolls!"He said that last part by slapping his belly with both hands and talking in a deep voice. I had to laugh because I was the one who taught him this.

"Ok well your father has gotten invited to one of those big surgery meetings , you know the ones where they give speeches and talk about doctor stuff."

"Yeah.."

"Well its during our anniverery weekend so I am going with him and after all the doctor stuff gets done we are gonna stay down there an extra few days..... were leaving on Monday."She said looking away.

"And where is down there??" Seeing as we live in San Antonio I was really curious as to where they were going and how far it would be.

"Well umm its in California!"She said peeking back up.

"How long are you guys going to be gone" I said in a kind of loud voice.

"Only like 2 weeks" She said.

"Where are we going to stay?" Please don't be great Aunt Lean...

""Great Aunt_" I cut her off

"Uhuh no way what about Uncle Rian!" I said with a paniced expression.

"He cant " She said

"I can stay home and watch the kid I wont get into any trouble I super duper promise. " As you can tell I really dont want to go to Leans.

"No we need someone to watch you too." She said sternley.

"Why cant we go to Ellies. I am sure Jo wouldnt mind and I promise we will not get crazy and annoy them we will be good children. Right Timmy?" I said looking at Timmy

He nodded eagerly " Good kids yes I promise."

"Uhhh I guess you could. I dont know why I didn't think of that .I guess I was so nervouse and excited I didn't even think of that option. Well I will call Jo and ask her!" She said handing over our cinnamin rolls.

Thank god!!! Not just that she let us stay at Ellies , but that she finally handed over the delicious cinnamino rolls.

I leaned up against Ellies locker. Her mom had said that we could stay. Truthfully it was not really all that different then usual. I spend a lot of my time over there when shes not at my house. I was just excited that I didn't have to go to my Great Aunts.

"We are gonna have so much fun. We can play video games and have movie marathons and I guess it will be like normal but it will still be awesome and I love your little brother. He is hilarious. This is gonna be absolutely incredible!" She said so excitedly that I thought she was going to jump up and down clapping...... I wouldnt put it past her. She gets that way sometimes.
