I was already headed to school when Elli gave me a call

"hey skank are you coming to school today"

"yeah" I said knowing what she was meaning this day had been so chaotic with my mom and dad rushing around and getting ready for everything unlike me who was a last minute person and probably wouldn't start packing until like 10 minutes before we left to Ellie's. I was fine with my parents going although I really was going to miss them we had never really been apart from each other for more than a week so I wasn't exactly sure how it was going to go

"alright well I will see you when you get here love you bye"

and before I could even reply she ended the call. she didn't really like to talk on the phone that much because for some reason she found it awkward. which made me laugh because at times she was the queen of awkward.

I entered the school and looked around everything was as normal . Rebecca was flaunting her popularity around the school letting everyone know she was better with Chad, the QB and most popular guy beside Hayden beside her

one person I didn't see was Hayden. I was oddly disappointed but I shook the feeling off instantly I looked over to his friends but he wasn't there his best friend Dustin , which my friend grace who was currently out of town , had the biggest crush on. grace and I weren't as close as me and Ellie (I had met grace freshman year when she was a new student )but of coarse no one would ever be as clos as us but she was about equal with my other friend Brian who went to a different school. we were all actually pretty close though but other than  them and my new friend rob that's all I had unless you counted Hayden which I did not

I strode over  to my locker searching in the crowd for Elli. I felt arms around me and Elli squealed

" I heard what happened in detention and I was so scared I cant believe you fainted and got a ride home with Hayden, give me the deats now u lil heffer" yeah she was kind of girly unlike most people who saw her as a punk I actually knew what she was like .she just liked to dress like that but her personality was totally different

I began telling the story I even told her the cliff part and how he drove me home. I got goose bumps thinking of the two words that kept lingering in my mind ;stay safe;  it was almost like he cared I left that part out knowing she would go ballistic and blow it all out of proportion

"wow that's wild i bet you got a goodnight kiss ehh " she said nudging me

i blushed " whatever you cow I a do not like him I don't even think were friends he prolly just pitied me or something" and the truth was this prolly was true and it broke my heart a little to think of this and i wasn't quite sure why i mean  he had not acknowledged my exsistence until four days ago and he was a total jerk

"whatever , I am just glaf your okay , "

"so tell me about the day with rob"

" o my god you picked a good one he is the funniest thing in the world we hung out all day and most of the time I was laughing he is definetly invited to our oh so popular friend group" she flipped her hair and laughed

"see I told you you would like him "

"oh yeah and i\I invited him to the club this weekend we are all going to have a blast he is such a nerd I have only known him one day and  already love him i mean at first it was iffy but once we got to talking we were immediatly friends he has some funny stories about his ex boyfriends that will make you roll on the floor with laughter "

omg well I guess I did pick a good friend because  even though I thought they would become friends did not think they would like each other this much usually she is quite cautious about who we let in our friend group it took her a while to get used to grace who was the only one who we met in high school seeing as we met Brian in seventh grade at a school football game.
