Maddiline Acite threw her head backwards, making it smack against the car chair. She rolled her green eyes as her mother yelled at her. "You are fourteen years old, you should not have any social media!"

Marie Acite yelled at her daughter for having a Twitter which she is being bullied on, while her hands laid on the wheel. Marie was told when she was her son Jerome's age that you should always look at the road. Marie's father would not be proud of her right now.

"But mom, all my friends have a Twitter and a Facebook and a Instagram! I am always left out of everything! I couldn't even go to Amelia's birthday party because you said that it is too far away." Maddilline mocked her mother, waving her hands in the air as Marie stared at her daughter.

"That is not the point! The point is that you are too young and I want to keep you safe!" Marie groaned in frustration, keeping eye lock with her daughter.

"I HATE YOU!" The Actie family car crashed into a red Mustang.

The last sentence Maddiline said to her blood related mom was 'I hate you'. Which is heartbreaking. Marie had told her daughter to never say that you hate someone. But she did it anyways.

"Maddie? Are you awake Maddie?" Jerome Actie said to his little sister, a tear rolled down his face. The doctor had him that his mother was dead, and that Maddiline wouldn't be able to walk. He lost so much this year. First, he crashed his very first car into a garbage truck. Then, his friend Deren had committed suicide. And now this, a dead mother and a sister who can't move her legs.

"J-Jerome?" Maddie asked. Her brown hair was scattered across the pillow, and she stared into her brother's brown eyes with hope. "Is mom-"

"No, she is gone." Jerome hugged his sister for a good five minutes, not wanting to let go of another family member. Maddie cried, remember what she said. "Please don't cry." Jerome's voice was shaky.

Maddie saw a Canadian boy poke his head in the door. His sixteen year old brown eyes widened when he saw Maddie alive. The Canadian boy's hair was brown and crazy looking, mostly because when he gets worried he runs his fingers threw his hair. Mitchell Hughes ran to Maddie, wrapping his arms around her.

"I am so glad you are alive." He said.

Maddie smiled, feeling her stomach turn. She knows that he was saying it in a brotherly way but she didn't care. All she wanted was the Canadian boy to kiss her on the lips. Just once. Is that a too big of a whish?

When Mitch backed away from Maddie, Jerome walked over to Mitch, whispering into his ear, "The doctor said she won't be able to walk."

Over her own sniffles, Maddie could hear Jerome. She was silent as she cried, stuffing her head into the pillow. Jerome patted her back, and Mitch stood at the end of the bed.

"I won't be able to walk Jerome?" Her voice cracked, having Mitch get a tear roll down his check.
