My eyes opened and I saw two people. Even if the light was blinding me, I could see them clearly.
The first one was a man, who looked like he was in his mid-twenties. He held his head in his hands after getting smacked in the arms from the other person. As he lifted it up, I saw how worried his blue eyes looked.
There was also a woman, who was no doubt his mother. She has long blonde hair and the same blue eyes as her son. Wrinkles were below her eyes, making me think she was about sixty or something like that.
"You idiot, Edward! You grabbed the wrong one!" The woman yelled, kicking over a chair that sat next to her.
"I'm sorry, mom! She looked so much like her." Edward looked up at his mother, then at me, and looked back at her.
"Yeah, because a girl with red hair looks like a girl with brown hair! Such a believable story!" His mother started to go crazy, and for an old woman, it was impressive so watch her tare up the area.
"IT WAS IN THE NIGHT AND VERY DARK!" He started to mutter, "Stupid old woman. Why must I be Edward Merio?"
I tried to move my hands, but they were tied to a bed post. My butt hurt from being on the dark, cold floor. "I'm sorry, girl, but we can't let you leave." The old woman said.
Wait, what?
Mitch's POV
It has been a week since Lilly and I have gotten back together. Let me tell you, I have gone through absolute hell.
When Maddie went missing, Lilly made me take her out shopping with her. Then, when she was actually declared missing, my girlfriend, instead of comforting me, made me take her out of a date. Where she barley even ate, by the way.
In this whole week, there was not a moment when I wasn't thinking about Maddie. This might sound pathetic, but I might have wrote a letter to her. Which I know she will never see.
Dear Maddiline,
I miss you so much, I love you so much, and want you to come back. Lilly doesn't care how I feel, all she wants is her happiness and me spending money on her.
I love the way you talk and laugh. The way you walk, and even the way you cry and hug. Just every thing about you, I love. I'm beating myself up for you being missing, because if I had stayed home, Jerome and you wouldn't had gone out to ice cream.
Loving you with all my heart,
Mitch
I was crying while I wrote that, making then pen ink go every where. But that didn't matter, she would never see it.
"Mitch, my parents and I are going to go searching again. Um, see you later." Jerome said through the guest door.
Sure, you'll see me tomorrow. After I'm done searching.
