I had lied to Jerome, we weren't going home when the doctor gave us news. We sat there for hours upon hours, and I was basically tweeting and instagraming everything. Every so often, a nurse came over to give us more news. The best one we got was, "She's going through surgery right now."
Jerome and I waited, and waited, and waited. Until, we saw the doctor and nurses' pushing Maddie's hospital bed into the room.
"I-Is she okay?" I asked one of them.
"Yea, she is perfectly fine. We had just enough blood, that's the good news. But, I am afraid that some of her memory has been lost. She knows her name, who her family is and that's about it. I am very sorry." She walked away.
Jerome ran in the room, giving Maddie a big hug. Did she forget about me? I walked in the room, taking a chance that she would remember me.
"Maddie." I sighed. It's like I went back into the past. Maddie was sitting on a hospital bed, Jerome was hugging her, and I was standing in the doorway.
When Jerome let go, I ran to her like I did when she was fourteen. I hugged her, hoping she knows me. "Who are you?" Her voice terrified me.
