Is It A Date!!!!

"What are your plans after college?", asked Meera.

"Gonna study in library, wanna come?" I said.

"What? After this whole boring day, you are going to study in library?" She asked with expressions that I cannot express in words.

"Yes, I am going to the library. Are you coming? We will cover-up your missed part." I replied.

"Obviously Not!" She said.

"Ohk alright." I replied. For the first time in my life I asked out a girl and she said no to me. How dumb I was, I asked girl out for the first time in my life that too where? To the library! Great Mr. Ashok Avasthi you are simply great!

"Ohk then let's split out. Bye...see you tomorrow, Ashok!" Said Meera.

"Bye Meera." I replied.

We both have our backs towards each other and I headed towards the Library.

"Ashok!", Meera shouted after taking 2 3 steps.

"Yes?" I replied.

"Coffee??"

"Mmm. OK! Let's go.", I said. She gave the same pleasant smile on her face.

"What will you have?" Asked Meera.

"Same as you. Actually, I have never been here earlier. So, I am not acquainted with it much." I said.

"Are you serious?? You have never ever visited this place?? When we were staying in Pune I used to come here much often." Said Meera while placing order for us.

"So, you were staying in Pune. Caught you!" I said with joy. She kept playing with the embroidery belt of her Shabnam bag.

After 2 3 minutes of silence again to change the subject I asked her, "So, what are your hobbies??"

"Reading." She replied instantly.

"Great, like reading too."

" Hmm, actually reading helped me during my ups and downs. "said Meera.

This time I kept playing with spoon in sugar pot. After 2 experiences on the same day I had learned one thing that Something is wrong with her past and I should not ask her about it. Actually, this is me, I don't like to interfere with someone's personal life. If someone wants to share with me, it's good, I will help in every way possible, but I will not ask on my own.

After taking one sip of coffee she asked, "Like it?"

"Yes. It's great." I said.

"At least better than our canteen."

We both laugh.

" My treat." She said. "Towards our friendship." After taking last sip.

"No way. I don't like it. We will do TTMM." I said.

"OK. As you wish." She said.

We paid the bill. We left CCD. I was searching for an auto.

" Let's have a walk na." She said.

"But its late. You will be late for your home."

" Late?? Its only 7. What late? In pune I used to stay out till 10. Its common." She said.

"Yes. But we are not in Pune and my hostel don't allow me to stay out after 7:30." I said.

"Ok baba let's leave. We will walk up to our college then I will have auto." She said.

We started walking towards college. There was still orange colour at horizon. Birds were returning to their nests. There was hardly any vehicle as our college was located little outskirts of Lonavala. In short it was a pleasant evening.
We reached college. " How you are gonna go home??". I asked.

" I have pleasure." She said.

"Ok, go safe." I said.

"By the way, I am staying in hostel too.", she said smiling.

"What? And you are telling me this now? Great." I said in surprise.

"Areee you never asked." She said.

"Oh, I see."

"Can I have your number??" She asked.

"Sure."
