     I was waiting inside the car while Danny was buzzing the doorbell of Meera's Residence. After 2-3 minutes she opened the door carrying a travel bag in her one hand. Danny took the bag from her and opened the car trunk to keep it in. Meera was standing outside the car wearing lime coloured suit and was looking gorgeous as always. She opened the front door of the car and sat in. We looked at each other, she gave me a formal smile and said, "Sorry to keep you waiting sir." Why she is behaving so formal I thought. Hasn't she really recognised me? "It's okay." Was my reply.

Danny sat in the car and we resumed our journey to the airport. "Jerry, we are coming in 15 minutes. Keep the plane ready.", Danny spoke into his earphone. I was reading some news article when I remembered about having dinner with Samantha today. I dialled her number.

"Hey Samantha, sorry dear. I will not be able to come to dinner today. I am going to India."

"What happened all of the sudden?" She screamed as always.

"Got 2 3 business to be taken care of"

"Official or unofficial", she asked.

"What are you talking about?"

"Just kidding. Going alone?"

"No. Our new assistant manager Ms. Meera is with me."

"Pooh! Now I understood what urgent business you got in India."

"Very funny don't you start again."

"Ha-ha. Sorry. Happy journey. Have a good time both of you."

"What?" I almost screamed. Meera and Danny looked at me showing blank faces. I gestured to them.

"Ha-ha. Why are you screaming? What she will think?"

"You don't have any work to do today?"

"Sorry. Ba bye."

"Bye. Take care."

Private door to runway was opened. Danny stopped the car. I came out of the car. Jerry came towards me keeping smile on his face.

"Good afternoon Boss."

"Good afternoon, Jerry. Ready to take off?"

"Yup, sir. She is ready to rock and roll."

"Let's go then."

I entered the plane. Flight attender took my coat off then I sat on my favourite place. Meera sat on the seat diagonally adjacent to mine. It was easy for me to look at her. I stared at her for a minute. I came back to senses when flight attendant asked me,

"You need anything Sir?"

"Sir, do you need anything?"

"Mmm what? No. I don't need anything for now. Thanks."

"Ok sir."

Our conversation seemed the attention of Meera. So, it closed my option of staring at her. I started looking out of the window. Plane was being taxied towards the runway. Then it was aligned to the runway. It gained speed slowly, and then it made a smooth take-off. The last thing I remembered was the announcement of Jerry, "We have made a successful take-off, you can loosen your seat belts. We are heading towards 'Mumbai International Airport'."

It was field trip of college to IIT Bangalore. We all were at the airport when we heard the announcement,
"All passengers of spice jet Mumbai to Bangalore should procced to the gate 2B, we are ready for boarding.

I rushed in the plane and took a window seat. Battery had almost sat near me when I stared at him angrily.

"What?" He asked damned innocently.

I was about to say him something when Meera asked him, "Oh you are seating here. I will go back then."

"No. No. I am not seating here. I just came here to say hi to Ashok. Hi Ashok! How are you?" Said battery.

"I am fine battery. I am glad to see you here." I said while giving stress on every word.

"Oh, you are glad to see me here. Then Meera I will seat here only. You please seat somewhere else."

"Battery!!" I and Meera shouted unanimously.

"Hock baba. chill. I am not seating here. I forgot Ashok had got new partner.", battery said while leaving.

I was baffled by his last sentence. He had used the word partner purposefully, I knew. To see Meera's reaction I looked at her, she was staring down and smiling. I was relieved.

Finally, he went to seat somewhere else. Meera sat beside me.

"Good afternoon, this is your pilot speaking. We have got clearance from the tower. We are ready for take-off. Please fasten your seat belt." Our pilot announced.

This was my first experience of flying. I had kept a tight grip on seat handle and closed my eyes. After 10 seconds or so I felt that Meera kept her hand my hand and patted it gently. I guess she must have noticed my condition.

"Don't worry dear. It will be over soon."

"Thanks, Meera. It's my first flight actually."

"Don't worry. It's all right. My condition was the same when we were flying to Europe."

"Oh. I never heard of it."

"Are. I was with fam...."

"It's ok. I understood. I don't need to know anything."

"Thanks, yaar."

"We have successfully done take off now we are stabilising at 15000 feet.", our pilot announced.

"See, it's over.", said Meera.

"Yes. I didn't feel anything."

"Yes. I know I am awesome."

"Yes, you are dear.", I said while looking into her eyes. She was also staring in my eyes. After 2 or 3 minutes we both felt awkward and we I started looking out of the window and she started looking in her bag trying to show that she is finding something.

"Meera, I need to tell you something."

"Say na."

"You are the most wonderful person I have ever met. Whenever I am with you, I lose the track of time. I feel like the whole world should stand still and only two of us should be together forever. I may not be your prince charming but I will do anything to see smile on your pretty face. I will consider myself very lucky to have you in my life. Would you like to get on board for this journey?"

She didn't say anything but the grip on my hand was tighter than earlier.

I don't know for how much time I was engrossed in my thoughts. I looked at Meera. I saw little tear rolling onto her cheek. What happened to her? Had she remembered the same incidence? Should I go and make her comfortable.? She was there for me when I needed her. But, what she had done to me is something that I can't forget. Let it be, I thought.

"We will land any time now. Fasten your seat belt. Have a pleasant stay in India" Jerry announced.

Will it really going to bea pleasant stay?
