Present Day

I came into reality. The sun was ready to take dive behind the mountains any time from now. The 'Madison Square Garden' was almost empty. That boy who was throwing pebbles in the water was nowhere to be seen, neither that couple. I don't know for how much time I was sitting there like that.

The last part of the story always makes me sad. It's been almost 8 to 10 years but I am not able to move on. I topped in V.K.M.G. for further studies I went to the Stanford University. I completed my studies with flying colours and in campus placement I got the offer from 'The Hyatt International" It was the dream of every management student to work in this company and to my surprise they offer me a higher post than usual. I took it immediately. It took me no time to climb the ladder of success, after holding the posts like, " M.D., Regional Head now I was the C.E.O. of the company. After Meera no one came in my life rather I didn't allow any one. Battery, whose real name is Rahul (I came to know this when I saw his data in our server coincidently when I was on the India tour.") is now 'General Manager' in one of our branch. We meet up more often.

Except Rahul I am not in contact with anyone from V.K.M.G. I purposefully avoid visiting V.K.M.G. but nothing of this helped me in forgetting her. Whenever any memory of her comes in my mind, I feel restless. I always regret my decision about not stopping her that day. Before today I always had a soft corner for Meera but now, I don't know why it was replaced by anger.

I dialled the number of Milanda,

"Hey, got any confirmation from either of our new recruits?"

" Not from Linda Sir, but Miss Meera is joining from this Monday."

" Well I was expecting reverse."

"Sorry Sir?"

"Mmm nothing."

" Have a nice weekend Sir."

" You too Milanda."

I kept my mobile in the pocket, picked my bag and headed towards my house for spending long 2 days, waiting for Monday.
