The Sunset

"Yaar I should start studying. Final Exams are coming and I haven't started yet. I guess now is the time I should come along with you to the library."

We were having our usual evening walk around the campus. Meera always loved watching the sunset. According to her seeing sunrise is more pleasant experience but morning sleep is more beautiful.

" Ha-ha. Don't worry. You will clear with flying colours. You just need right guidance." I replied.

"Yes. You are there."

"NO. I didn't mean that."

" It's ok. Now see the sunset. You know watching sun disappearing behind the horizon helps me relieving stress. I think it says that what you have done today, let it be. Don't worry about the things which have gone wrong. Remain calm like the night, think over it and face the dawn with new enthusiasm and spirit."

" Whoa! That's something new."

" Ha-ha. Sangat ka asar aur Kya!"

" Hmmm. Let's go to library then!"

"OH Ashok, do you always think about study?" Asked Meera.

" Yes. At least when I am with you."

"What??" Meera asked in a surprise tone.

"Yes. Actually, I didn't have any friends here in V.K.M.G. means I have friends but I never did much outing means I don't like it. I am not so social person you know. So, I had nothing to do but studying. Means what we have talked in last 4 5 months is way much more than what I have talked with my friends since I joined V.K.M.G. in 11th"

"In short I am spoiling you." Said Meera.

" No. Nothing Like that. I just said what came to my mind. I had never spent this much time with anyone."

"Just kidding re. But its good you are opening up. It will help you to say it much faster.", Meera.

"I will say faster, what??" I asked in surprising tone

" Nothing." Meera suddenly became quiet.

After 5 6 minutes I asked her, "What happened Meera? You haven't said anything in a while."

"Nothing re. Just leave it. Let's head towards the library."

" This moment should be written in Golden Words!"

"Don't make fun of me, Ashok."

"I am not making fun of you. OK. Sorry. Let's roll."

" No. I am walking."

" Now who's making fun of whom?"

"Ha-ha Sorry. Let's roll then."

I started reading. After 5 minutes or so Meera said, " Why it's so silent here. It's giving me feeling."

"Keep your voice down Meera." I whispered.

"Oops Sorry!"

Next 2 to 3 hours we spend in Library. Every time I looked at Meera she was looking somewhere else. I don't think she had looked into her book for more than 5 minutes. I looked at my watch. It was 8:30. I gestured Meera asking her should we go out? She got suddenly energetic and closed her books. Packed her bag and stood up.

" Whoa that was fast." I said to her keeping my voice down. She giggled. I packed my bag. We both left library.

We were sitting next to each other.

" It will take time Meera. It will take time for you to adjust to the library."

" Yaar Ashok, you always read my mind. I was thinking the same thing. I don't think I can study there."

"Meera, don't worry. You will adjust to it. I know. You can do it. Come with me tomorrow also. We will see tomorrow if you are not able to adjust, then we will find another place."

"You are so sweet, Ashok" Meera said keeping her hand on my hand.

"No. Need of thanks. Let's finish our dinner."

We finished eating and left the canteen. As usual we walked together till 'Girl's Wing " showed up.

"Good night. Ashok. See you tomorrow!" Meera said with cheerful voice.

"Good Night,Meera."
