A Happy wali Feeling

"Ashok, where are we heading?", asked Meera. We were at the backside of the college and I was almost dragging her, holding her hand in my hand. " It's a surprise."

I took her to the end of the little cliff which were around a half km away from our college building. It was a quiet place as nobody used to come here. It was surrounded by the trees, which were giving perfect picturesque view. One was able to see one part of lonavala city from there. It was an energetic place, nobody could have guessed that there is some boring place like college nearby. (Oh God! now I am finding college boring.)

So, we were at the end of the cliff. I said to her, " You were not able to concentrate in the Library na? We will study here. You will be able to concentrate here." "Oh, Thank you so much Ashok! You are so sweet! I didn't know this place." Meera said while giving a tight embrace to me. It was the first hug of my life. I was stunned. I was not understanding what to do. I stood there as it is. After 2 3 minutes Meera said, " Ashok, what are you doing there? Come here." I was so lost that I can't say for how much time I was standing there like that. I looked towards Meera, she was having her patented mischievous smile.

"We better start studying. We can't study here after it's dark." I said to cover up the situation.

" You always think about study na? When you will come out of your studies for a change??"

"Don't try to change the topic. Open your books fast."

" OK baba, lets study."

After almost 5 6 hours of studying I askes Meera, " Don't you wanna see sunset today??"

"Means? Oh my god it's been 6 hours we are studying. I have never studied for such a long time continuously. Thank you so much Ashok, for everything."

" Are what thank you. I like you."

" What?"

" Means, I wanted to say that I like to help you, don't misunderstand please."

" No No, I am not misunderstanding anything. There is no confusion here."
She said again smiling at me.

" So wanna see sunset? " I asked her.

" No, we will study for some time. Then we will have a walk." She said.

" Oh! This place has done it's magic. I must say."

" Yes. It has." Meera said, looking at me.

Then I was engrossed in the book. I threw quick glance towards Meera several times, every time she was looking at me. After few minutes I asked her, " Meera what happened? Why aren't you studying? "

"Nothing, I was just bored."

" So, I am your entertainment then. Looking at me your boredom goes."

" Ha-ha. Very funny. Let's have a walk."

We packed our bags and headed back towards the college. We had walk for around 20 minutes or so. Then we had our dinner and as usual I dropped her at 'Girl's Wing' and I came back to my room.

I was sitting on my bed gazing out of the window until battery interrupted me, "Ashok, don't keep false hopes."

" Means, what do you want to say?"

" I am saying that, what is between you and Meera I don't know. But from your changed behaviour I can tell you that you are in love with her. "

" What nonsense battery. Don't you start again."

" What? am I talking nonsense? When is the last time you sat somewhere else other than on the first bench? Why did you stopped having dinner and breakfast with us? Why you were not at the library today?"

I kept quiet for few minutes. Then I said to him, " Look, I don't have answer for these questions. I haven't experienced anything like this before. I don't know what this is, but now a day I think only about her. I always feel happy when I am with her. I try to spend more and more time with her. Every day I start with checking my mobile for a 'Good Morning' message from her. I don't know what is going on. I don't know what to do?"

" Ashok, I think you should tell her."

" and what if she says no? What if she got angry? I don't want to spoil my friendship."

" Don't worry Ashok, she will say yes! Everyone in the college is talking about you guys. She is also in love with you. We can see that and instead of keeping this thing hanging it's better that you should tell her. Otherwise you will keep hope and unfortunately she said no it will give you nothing but pain." Said Battery. I had never seen Battery talking with so much of seriousness. I think this was his area of expertise.

" I think you are right Battery. I will tell her, once our exams are over. I don't want to be distraction for her."
I replied.

"As you say." Said battery.
