Percy's POV

I got up and walked over to her. As much as I wanted to hug her and kiss her and tell her I love her, she probably wouldn't like it. So I couldn't. We both looked at each other. My heart was beating out of my chest. I wonder if she could hear it. I took in a deep but shaky breath.

"Hey." I breathed out. She waved but stayed silent. "What are you doing here?" She had a shocked look on her face. Like there was something different about me. My voice got a bit deeper and I got taller but so did she. But whatever.

"My Step Mom kicked me out of my house." She said it really quietly.

"So you move across the country? With no place to go, Annabeth?" She glared at me. Though I don't know why.

"I don't need your help and pity Percy."

"You don't have my pity, Annabeth. You have my concern. I don't feel sorry for you. Not one bit. I feel concerned that you may have to live on the streets because you don't have a house." She sighed softly.

"Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm just really stressed out right now." A tear slid down her cheek and she paused for a moment, deciding on where to place her fidgeting hands. "And I don't know where to go, Percy,  or what to call home." I stared at her.

"Why don't you come sit with us?" I realized Piper hadn't followed me to talk. She stayed at the table. I was about to grab Annabeth's hand when I realized we weren't dating anymore. That made me want to cry. I really missed her and now when I finally see her again I can't kiss her or anything. I frowned a little and walked her to our table.

Piper smiled. "Can we take her to the apartment building? Please Percy?" She begged of me. Whilst hugging the air out of Annabeth's body.

"If she wants." I told her. Piper looked at Annabeth expectantly.

"I guess I don't exactly have anywhere else to go." She told Piper and I.

"Okay, well lets go then." I grabbed her hand to drag her away from Piper before she could squeeze her to death.

_

We got to the apartment building and went into mine only to see that literally everyone was there. Which was not what I was expecting.

"Guys, I gave you the extra keys for emergencies. What are you all doing here? You're paying my electricity bill if you're gonna watch my tv all day." All of them turned from the tv to look at me, and Jason reached for the remote to turn it off. Everyone turned their attention to behind me, and Jason dropped the remote in his attempt to redeem himself and the others.

I had almost forgotten Annabeth was here. So much so that I had to turn around to look at her real quick, just to see what all the fuss was about. "Guys calm down for a second." They had all gotten up and walked towards us. "She doesn't have anywhere to stay. Any ideas?"

"Percy, you're the only one that has an extra room and no roommate. It also just makes sense considering... well, you know." Luna told me. Everyone nodded along.

My face heated up and I could feel the color in my cheeks return from not too long ago at the cafe. "Don't you think that would be a bit... ya know. Awkward?"

"Well, you have two rooms so you can easily just avoid each other all the time until she can get a place of her own. You know, if it's that awkward for you, Percy." Piper scolded me.

I looked back at Annabeth, who was taking a glance at the apartment, and her eyes finally met mine.

"I guess you're right, Pipes."
