The Small Things in a Relationship

Percy's POV

   Okay so I may or may not have made Annabeth really upset at me. She had just gotten out of the shower and I ended up turning around with a couple drinks and spilling everything all over her. First, she yelled at me. Then, she ended up taking another shower. After, she yelled at me more. After that, she sat down with a book and started ignoring me. I had just made her a complete brunch with a ton of food so she wouldn't be mad at me. I wanted to make it up to her. Maybe I went a little overboard.

   I sat down next to her on the couch and kissed her nose. "Hey, Gorgeous. Your brunch is ready when you wanna eat it." I said it slow and steady so she couldn't possibly get mad.

   "Hmm." She didn't say anything. I frowned.

   "Okay well I have to go to work soon so everything is just on the table. I hope you have a good day. And feel free to come visit. Even if you think that I'm an asshole." I was still frowning but she didn't even move a muscle. "I love you, Baby. You're the best girlfriend ever and call me if you need anything because I'll get it for you right away. I'll be home in a couple hours so I can get you something on the way home if you want anything so you can just tell me what. I love you so much." She stayed silent for a couple minutes.

   "Okay." She said it like it didn't mean anything. No "I love you too." No "thank you." Nothing. Just "okay." It kind of pissed me off. I didn't want to be too mad at her but it did get on my nerves a little. I got off the couch and grabbed my jacket. I got my shoes on and bent down to kiss Annabeth softly. She kissed back slightly. Which is a good sign. Then I kissed her forehead.

   "Goodbye, Babe. Have a good day." But she still didn't say anything.

   I stopped at a shop on my way to work. I called my boss and told him I would be running a little late. I walked in the shop and picked out a bouquet of red roses and some chocolates. I told them my apartment building and number. The best thing about this place is that they deliver stuff to your house. And I wanted Annabeth to get them. So yeah. I had them put a note in the roses.

   It ended up saying, "Hey Honey. I hope you're not still mad and I love you. You're the best girlfriend in the world and I miss you. -P"

   The workday that I had today was one of the longest days ever. I couldn't keep my mind off of Annabeth. I wondered if she was still mad. Maybe she ate some of the food I made her or maybe she just threw it all away. Did she throw away the chocolates and flowers too? Maybe so. Or what about the note? Will it be torn up on the floor for me when I come home? Will she already be in her room with her door locked so I can't come tell her goodnight or come talk to her? I was so out of it, my boss sent me home for the second time this week.

   I walked home with my mind on what I was going to come home to. I grabbed some chocolates from a random shop I passed by. Just in case.

   I walked into our apartment and looked around. The plates were still out untouched. The flowers were fine except for one that she tore the petals off of. That one was laying on the table. The note was on the table but she had wrote something on it. I walked over to it.

   "Hey Perce. I'm fine. I'm going to take a nap and the door is locked so don't try to talk to me. -A <3" I walked over to the chocolates and opened the lid. Some were gone which meant she ate them. I looked around some more and saw that the heating pad that was plugged in was gone from beside the couch. I looked around and saw some Advil. But the Advil wasn't regular Advil. It was for-

   I finally came to my conclusion. Annabeth Chase was officially on her period. So that's why. I walked over to her door and knocked softly. I heard someone get up and then I heard the door unlock and she opened the door. I wrapped my arms around her. I pressed my lips to her temple. She pushed me away slightly, but not too much.

   "Hey Beautiful. I know you're on your period so I got you these. But you didn't really eat anything anyway. You should eat something. But I love you so much. Did you have a good enough day?" She looked up at me with sad eyes. "You know I really forgot how much I hated fighting with you, Annabeth." She wrapped her arms around me.

   "You're such an asshole. And I hate you. So very much." I chuckled at her.

   "You are so cute, Anna." She giggled. "I'm sorry I spilled drinks on you this morning." I frowned.

   "I'm sorry I didn't eat any of your food that you made especially for me. And I'm sorry for being a bitch all day. And I'm sorry for-" I cut her off.

   "You have nothing to be sorry about. I love you so much Annabeth. You know that? Every single day that I was without you was horrible. Every single day I thought about you. Only you. Everyone always saw it and tried to change the subject. But everything they said I always thought of you. Now all I want to do is make you happy. Please let me make you happy. That's all I want. I love you." Tears were rolling down my cheeks. She reached up and wiped them away and I put my hands on her waist and pulled her closer. I kissed her softly.

   "You make me happy every single day that I'm with you Percy. I don't know how you do it. On days that I think that I really can't be happy at all. And I come home and all I can do is smile because you are sitting there waiting for me to come home. I love you." I smiled.

   I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her closer, swaying from side to side. "Why don't we lay down and just do whatever you want for the rest of the day. But first we have to throw away all that food." She laughed. "Come on, Baby." I gave her one last kiss before pulling away, much to my dismay, and going to clean up.

Hey guys! Sorry it's been so long. I had a long weekend but it was so fun so yeah, I couldn't really update. I ended up going to a Panic! At the Disco concert yesterday. It was amazing and fun and I had a great time! But anyway, thanks for reading this chapter Percabeth Peoples! You guys are awesome!
