Marry Me?

Jason's POV

I was in Percy's and Annabeth's room, looking for some sweatpants that Percy had borrowed. Said all of his were getting washed. I opened the drawer that held all of his sweatpants and t-shirts and found a box. I turned on the light. I grabbed the box and sat on the bed. I called Piper on FaceTime.

"Babe get over here now!" I urged her on.

"Ugh fine. But this better be worth it!" She complained. She walked in about 5 minutes later. I showed her the box. "Oh my gods!" She exclaimed. I opened the box and showed her one of the most beautiful rings I'd ever seen in my life. I was almost tempted to ask Piper to marry me on the spot.

"I found this is Percy's drawer." I told her. She smiled.

"This is adorable! He's going to propose to Annabeth! And the ring is so beautiful!" She smiled at me. I put it back in the drawer. I moved closer to her and grabbed her hand. I spun her around and let her fall back in my arms. "Where is this coming from, Jase?" I smiled down at her.

"I love you, Pipes." She smiled.

"I love you too, Jason."

Percy's POV

It had been the rest of the week that Annabeth had been in the hospital. She was getting out today. I had stayed with her every night this week. Today was the day. Today was the day I was going to ask Annabeth to marry me. I was scared out of mind. My throat was always dry. I was looking at the ring when someone walked into the apartment. Annabeth.

I walked out of the room. "Babe, you're home! Gods I love you!" I smiled at her widely.

She smiled at me. "What were you in the room for?" She came over and hugged me. "Gods I feel like I haven't seen you in years. I'm so glad to be out."

"I was just putting away laundry. Trying to find Jason's sweatpants as well, I guess he took them back when I was in the hospital with you." I shrugged. I pulled her in closer and took in her scent. I scrunched up my nose.

She didn't smell bad. Annabeth smells like flowers no matter what she does. But she didn't smell like her usual lemon shampoo and conditioner. She heard spiders don't like lemons. She took every turn she could to get herself and her house to smell like lemons. Then she got kicked out and now it always smells like lemons in here. But I like it. It reminds me of her.

"I want to take you out somewhere. Why don't you go take a shower and then get dressed in something nice? I'll get dressed as well." She smiled at me.

"Okay." She got herself ready for a shower. She got in the shower and I got dressed. I was in nice khaki pants and a button down blue shirt with a tie. I smiled at my appearance. I grabbed the ring from the drawer. I knew my friends had found it because they asked me about it.

   I grabbed some paper and a pen and left a note for Annabeth. I walked out and knocked on Jason's door. Everyone was at their apartment. He opened the door and let me in.

"Okay I gotta go soon but I'm about to leave." I told all of them. The guys smiled at me and congratulated me and the girls squealed before congratulating me as well. "Okay I gotta go now. Wish me luck." I gave them a thumbs up before walking out. I started my walk to the park.

Annabeth's POV

I walked out of the shower and got into my dress and heels. I walked out into the living room. "Percy? Are you in here?" I called out, worried. I noticed a piece of paper on the table with a pen by it.

Hey Annabeth.
Had to settle something with Jason. Made a bet with him so I had to go early. Meet me at the park when you're ready. I'll be waiting ;) we'll go somewhere when you get there. I can't wait to see you. I have some great news for you when you get there. But it's a surprise.

I smiled and grabbed my bag before walking out and starting my journey to the park. When I got there, I spotted Percy sitting on the fountain. (Media) He was looking at his phone and bouncing his knee up and down like he was really nervous. But that wasn't the only thing I noticed.

There were vases of a dozen roses all around the entire circumference of the fountain. There were candles around the entire park that wasn't by grass. As well as in between the roses on the fountain. He looked up at me and smiled. He got up and started walking.

"Do you know what's happening?" He asked me as he spun me around. I noticed a lot of people were watching what was happening. I guess it was really suspicious to see something like this. He pulled me over to the fountain. He looked at me.

"Percy, what is this?" He smiled.

"Look." Fireworks went off.

"This is beautiful, Percy." Suddenly, letters spelled out the words 'Marry Me?' I looked back to see Percy on one knee. I covered my mouth with my hand and tears welled up in my eyes.

"I love you more than anything, Annabeth. You're the only one that I would ever want to spend the rest of my life with. Marry me?" I couldn't get any words out. I just looked at him, shocked. Eventually, I just nodded and he got up and hugged me. He grabbed the ring and put it on my finger. "I really hope this fits. I was with your mom I thought she would be the one to know." I laughed and he put it on my finger fully.

"Oh my gods it's beautiful Percy. I love you!" He smiled.

"I love you too, Annabeth. Thank the gods though, do you know how much this costed me?" I laughed again.

I looked down at the ring. "How much was it?"

"That doesn't matter." He told me.

"Please." I made sad puppy dog eyes. He sighed and smiled down at me.

"2700." He said. I gasped. It was worth it definitely. This was one of the most beautiful rings I'd ever seen in my entire life. It was amazing and I never wanted to take it off.

"Why did you spend that much, Percy?" He looked down at me.

"Because I love you and you deserve the best." He poked my nose and I scrunched up my nose and furrowed my eyebrows. He laughed. I noticed people taking the candles and vases of flowers.

"Can we keep some of those roses?" I asked him. He nodded and then walked over to someone carrying them away. He said something and the person gave him the roses. He came back over and handed them to me. "Thank you. Can we go home now? I think that's enough surprises for today and I'm so tired. I feel like I might fall asleep just standing here." He chuckled.

"Yeah. Come on, Babe." He grabbed my hand and kissed me softly. We walked back home and I got dressed as well as him. I changed into his sweatshirt and some shorts and he got into his usual sweatpants and no shirt. I smiled and climbed into bed next to him. We put the ring back in the box so it would be safe.

We decided we would talk to everyone tomorrow. We were both exhausted and just decided to go to sleep right at that moment. I smiled widely when he wrapped his arms around me tightly, shielding me from the dangers of the world. I wrapped my arms around his torso and wrapped one of my legs around his waist. I snuggled into his chest and let myself fall asleep in his arms, happy to be back home.

Hey guys! So I decided that I couldn't wait until tomorrow to update because I wanted to do this so bad and I had been planning it for days. I was too excited for it! Anyways, I stayed up until 3 in the morning to update for you guys so I hope you guys loved this chapter because I, once again, loved writing it.
