Annabeth's POV

I wished Percy would tell me what his plans actually were. I knew he was lying because of the way he scrunched up his eyebrows and thought of a lie. Maybe he found someone else when I was asleep. No, this was Percy we are talking about. He's the most loyal person I know.

Maybe he's surprising me. But what would he surprise me with? I would go back to sleep but I think I've reached my maximum. Which meant I was stuck to sit and stare at a wall thinking about nothing but Percy's lie. Of course, that left me with the fact that I thought of everything bad that he could be doing right now. Including cheating, getting hurt, causing trouble, and breaking the rules. Oh gods.

"Hey Annabeth. What's going on today?" My doctor walked in. In all honesty, he kind of annoyed me. He asked me how I was every fucking hour. I couldn't wait to get out of here.

"I'm fine." I told him, bluntly. I wish he'd just leave me alone. It was hard to remember much. I remember my friends but the adventures we went on together were blurry. My powers were weak. They gave my necklace to my dad to keep for now.

"Okay well tell me if you feel anything. Maybe if you feel nausea or you get a migraine or something." He told me.

"Okay." I wish I could leave.

Percy's POV

The perfect one. Looking for the perfect one. Damn it why is this so hard? Annabeth's mom looked at me. She was named after the Greek goddess Athena. I looked back at her.

"How do you know which one is the perfect one? There's millions of them." I complained to her. She smiled at me. "I feel like crying this is horrid!" My eyes started to water. Athena looked at me sadly and rubbed my back. "I love Annabeth more than anything but I don't know what she'll like. I've gone through some pretty hard training but this has to be the most stressful thing I've ever done." Tears streamed down my face. She looked at me, sadly.

"Percy, you look at the ring and you just know. Calm down. This is a happy time!" She smiled at me. We spent hours after that looking at the rings in the store. I looked around once more.

"I don't know, Athena." She gasped and pulled me over to a ring in a closed off display. Separate from the others.  The pricing on it was $2760.00. "$2700, Athena." I told her. I wanted it. I knew it was the one. It was perfect. It was beautiful, and I loved it. And I wanted to see it on Annabeth. (Media)

"That's why I brought money, Perseus." She told me and then asked someone for help.

"I hate that name!" I complained. The guy came over and looked at me judgingly. "What?" I asked him.

"Aren't you a little young to be getting married sir?" He asked me with a raised eyebrow. I smiled.

"Well thank you for telling me I look young, but I'm 25 years old, my good man." He looked at me like I was insane. "Okay if we are going to get judgy, I don't have to give you a good rating on your website. I'm in love with this girl and we are in our twenties. It's not like we are sixteen or something." He sighed.

"Alright alright. What did you guys need?" He asked us.

"We want to buy this ring please." He brought us back by the desk and got it in the size that Athena had told him. He put it in a box and gave it to us after we paid. It was official. I had the perfect ring for the perfect girl.

Annabeth's POV

Hours. It had been hours. Percy hadn't come to see me like he said he was. I was starting to worry. It got to the point where everytime I even thought of his name my heart would start pounding and I'd start to feel a little nauseas. I laid down and closed my eyes. After a little while of getting my heart rate down, someone walked in. Oh great, my stupid doctor asking me about how I'm feeling. I sighed softly.
