We Start Again

Annabeth's POV

   It was about a month after we had talked about dating again. I thought that Percy forgot about the whole thing. He hadn't brought anything up or done anything to tell me he didn't forget. Today he said goodbye and just walked out of the house. He had recently gotten a job at the café we met at that one day.

   I went there recently to say hi but other than that, nothing has really happened. We've been living together and that's practically it. It's really awkward with us together and I really don't like it. As these thoughts circled in my head, I heard the door open. Only one person had the key so it had to be Percy.

   I was on my computer when Percy came and sat down next to me. I looked up. "Do you wanna watch a movie?" He asked. I shrugged.

   "Not really, to be honest with you." He sighed and played with a ring on his finger. I grabbed his hand and he looked at me. I turned it to see the words that hadn't been said out loud for years. Seaweed Brain. I still had the ring he gave me, too. I looked up at him and his lips twitched into a smile.

   I ran into my room and put mine on. I looked at it. It was the most simple yet complex ring anyone has ever given me. Wise Girl. I loved it so much. But to get over him, I always kept it in my drawer. I guess there wasn't much of a point of doing that now. I sighed.

   I guess I had been taking too long because Percy walked in and wrapped his arms around me from behind. He grabbed my hand and lifted it up to take a look at the ring on my finger.

   "So I was thinking," he stopped and spun me so I was facing him. "That if we ended up dating, we wouldn't tell anyone yet because they would go insane." I smiled.

   "I agree on that one Seaweed Brain." He chuckled. I was looking down so he grabbed my chin and lifting up my head. He looked me straight in the eye and said,

   "I love you, Annabeth." Then, he kissed me. I smiled against his lips that I remember kissing vividly years ago. They were still as perfect as ever. We broke apart after a minute to catch our breaths.

   "I love you too, Percy." He smiled.

   "Do you want to go to bed now?"

   "No, I kind of want to watch a movie." I shrugged. He glared down at me.

   "You are so going to pay for that you little bitch." I laughed and ran away from him. I missed his constant swearing, as weird as that sounds. I collapsed on the couch and he pounced on me. He still knew all of my most ticklish spots. Those including my neck and my sides. He put one hand on my side and the other attacked my neck. I bursted out laughing.

   "NO PERCE STAHHHHHP!!" I yelled at him but he just laughed and kept tickling me.

   "Never!" He yelled back.

   "PLEHEHEHEASSSSEEEEE! PERCEHEHEY STAHAHAHAP!!! I CAN'T BREHEHEHEHEATHH!! He chuckled again and smiled down at me.

   "Tell me you love when I tickle you!"

   "BUT I HAHAHAHATE IT WHEHEN YOU TICKLE MEHEHEHE!!!" He frowned.

   "Awww! That's not nice Annabeth!" I laughed some more. He kept torturing me. "Fine! Just tell me you love me!!"

   "NEVER!! I DOHOHON'T LOVE YOU RIGHT NOHOHOHOW!"

   "But you should, Annabeth. Just say these certain words okay? 'I love you and you're the best boyfriend I have ever had.'" He had apparently decided to do a little throwback. I remember that exact day. I had said something to him. Something clever. What was it again? Oh yeah.

   "I HATE YOU AND YOU ARE THE ONLY SANE BOYFRIEND I HAVE EVER HAHAHAHAD!" He chuckled a little, obviously expecting me to say it. He stopped though. I laughed a little more. Gods, I loved him. He wrapped his arms around me and put his head on my chest, as if to hear my heartbeat that was beating a million beats per minute. I smiled. He got back up off the couch and turned on the TV. He clicked on the Netflix app and turned on the Disney movie, Home. I don't know why, so don't ask. I just laughed slightly.

   He wrapped his arms around me once again but it before taking off his shirt like he always did. I smiled and snuggled into his chest. He reached between us and lifted my head up so I could see him. He pulled me into a soft kiss. We both smiled. I missed this so much.

I loved laying in his arms. I loved his soft kisses all over my body, like he was making his mark to make sure no one could take me. I loved his tickles and his laughs. I loved when he was happy because it made me happy. I loved all of his actions and how he showed how much he loved me. I loved his cuddles. I loved his personality. I love him. Nothing can ruin this.

I sighed in his arms. He looked down at me. We were both watching the movie but I was spacing out slightly. I looked up at him. "I love you." I told him. He chuckled just a little.

"I love you too." We kept watching the movie after that. His arms protectively wrapped around me. It was amazing.

At one point, he bent down and started kissing me. Everywhere. He kissed me. Then he kissed my cheeks, my neck. He even kissed down my arms. He bent down and pulled up my shirt slightly. He kissed my stomach and my sides. He went down more and kissed down my legs. I put my hands in is hair and he got all the way to the bottom of my legs before coming back up to look at me.

"You're so beautiful, Annabeth." I smiled. I smiled wide. I loved this man so much. I tackled him and wrapped my arms around him, snuggling up to his body so much that paper couldn't even pass through us. He chuckled a little. He kissed me softly. "What's up with you, Baby?"

"I love it when you do that, Perce." He smiled.

"Goodnight, Love."

I snuggled into his chest more and put my head in the crook of his neck, taking in his scent. "Goodnight, Percy." I said it quietly. But I knew he heard. And we laid there and fell asleep like that.

That night, when Percy woke up. I felt him pick me up and bring me to his room with him. And I heard him tell me that he loved me. But I didn't want to let him know that I was awake, so I just instinctively snuggled up against him and fell asleep once again. As did he. And that was the end of our night.
