Bronwyn: Well, it was one day when I got my peculiarity. I was basically getting bullied and then I may have punched the kind......hard......Victor was there and to protect us, later that day, we ran away together. Miss P. found us and now we are here.
Victor: I already had my strength when Wyn punched the child. I don't really remember when, but I know it had to do with the fact that Wyn was getting bullied.

Scientific reasons for each peculiarity
Millard: I can bend light around myself, so that my body doesn't cast a shadow, and I don't produce a reflection. I have a negative refractive index, making things look like they bend around me and, ultimately, making me invisible.
Emma: Pyrokinesis is a form of telekinesis, where you can make and control fire. Using PET scans (positron emission tomography) and fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging) can show that only 10% of humans' brain are being used while I can use about 90% of it. This, in fact, allows me to be able to control things with my mind. I really just speed up the movement of atoms, causing them to light fire.
