Giselle's POV
Is it possible to be in a trance? Because at this moment, I knew that I definitely was. I wanted to crawl under a rock and hide there until the end of forever. It took everything in me to not cry again when I picked up each test that had the little pink plus sign on it. I looked over at Sydel who was now in the doorway of the bathroom behind Stephen and she was jumping up and down while looking at the test in my hand, while he was just standing there not knowing what to do. Well at least one of us was excited about this.
"I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT!" Me and Stephen just gave her a look like seriously?
"I can't wait to go baby shopping! I wonder if it's a boy or a girl? Maybe I'll just stick to gender neutral colors. Oh my gosh, just wait until your baby shower. Me and Amirah can plan it." She continued.
"Sydel, you can't tell anybody." I said barely above a whisper.
"Aww, why?!?!" She said instantly forming a pout on her face.
"First of all I have to go to the doctor to make sure that these tests are right. Second of all just in case something happens, I want to be in my second or third trimester before anyone knows." I answered. I was still holding on to a little thread of hope that the tests were wrong, but I knew the chances of that were probably slim to none. A girl can dream right? This would be interesting dealing with school seeing as that I still have 3 years left and not to mention, my mother who always takes everything to the extreme.
"I guess that makes sense."
"I'll make an appointment when we get back. I can probably get it for Wednesday" I said while throwing the three tests along with their boxes in the trash can. I simply sighed and went to go sit back on the couch in the living room while curling up with my thick pink and green blanket.
"Can we start brainstorming names?" Sydel quietly asked while sitting across from me. I was so happy that Sydel was trying to be positive and keep a good vibe, because she knew just by looking at my face that I was absolutely done with everything at the moment.
"You can if you want." I said while resting my head on my arm. At this point in time, I wanted my uterus to disappear out of my body. It's already bad enough when I'm on my period, but now that is going to be someone's residence for the next nine months. I had to take care of this person for the next 18 years. I had no idea where Stephen went after I showed him the test, probably to go cry and pull his hair out. I don't blame him one bit. The media was going to be all over this when it came out. This will definitely get the publicity that we intended to have to begin with. 30 minutes later, Stephen came back and joined us in the living room. He looked just as distraught as I was. If only Sydel knew this was supposed to be an act, but the way I am falling for Stephen and the fact that I am falling hard. It might not be too much longer until this is officially official behind closed doors. It is already official to the world.
"I told Lisa." Of course. His publicist. I should have seen that one coming.
"What did she say?" I asked curiously while scrolling through my Instagram on my phone. Anything to keep me distracted would have to do. I saw where my mom had posted a picture of the both of us and underneath it said "MamaSerenity: My little girl is now married! It still hasn't sunk in yet! GiselleCurry StephenCurry30" If that hasn't sunk in yet, just wait until she hears about this. She was going to have a field day and I bet she might even think we got married because I'm pregnant. She always blows things out of proportion, but that was my mom and at the end of the day she was my best friend as hard as that may be to believe. I had to admit, it was one of my favorite pictures of us. This was on my mother's birthday and I had bought her a Tom Ford purse earlier this year while we went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
