Stephen's POV

When I woke up the next morning I was on the edge of the bed with Giselle taking up the majority of the space along with Riley. She had her arm on my neck and her legs were wrapped around mine. I was about two seconds from being on the floor when I pushed myself back up and guided Giselle onto my chest as well as moving her arm away from my neck so I wouldn't disturb her and so I wouldn't get choked in the process. I honestly cannot believe we only have 4 more months until Riley gets here. I was excited and scared at the same time. I have no idea what I'm doing but I guess you just figure it out as you go. There is no such thing as a perfect parent. With Giselle by my side I know I can get through it. Last night when we got home and she ate practically the entire pot of gumbo that my mom left for us I showed her Riley's room which used to be hers when she first came to stay with me and how me and Sydel decorated it.

I could tell she was satisfied by the constant screaming that came after me opening the door. I know that one of Giselle's favorite colors is pink so I knew I couldn't go wrong with the color scheme. I admit that I have been putting on a very good front when it comes to being away from Giselle. I feel that I've missed a lot of her pregnancy and I feel like that I'm not doing my job as her husband. I'm sure if she felt some type of way about it then she would have definitely told me by now but I just have to do the best that I can. Last night she told me what had gone on between her and her mother and I honestly had no idea what to tell her. That is something that they both need to fix. I see Giselle's point of view, but I also see her mother's in a weird way. She wasn't exactly happy with me after I told her that, but it's the truth.

To get more comfortable, I placed my hand on Giselle's stomach and immediately felt a kick. Well Riley was definitely awake. I decided to go downstairs and make Giselle and myself some breakfast because I had a feeling it was going to be one of those weekends where she wanted me all to herself. I tried to slide out from behind her but was immediately caught by her grabbing onto me for dear life.

"Stephhhh, where are you going?" I heard her ask groggily.

"To fix your greedy ass some food." I replied while kissing her cheek.

"Okay carry on. Riley's keeping me company anyway. And you love my greedy ass."

"That I do."

When I got downstairs, I turned on the tv and started to watch reruns of A Different World while I decided what to fix for us. Giselle now has me addicted to this show. I looked in the fridge and pulled out the waffle mix along with strawberries and bananas and turkey bacon. I should add eggs too since more than likely Giselle is going to inhale this food like she's never seen any before. When I finished making the food, I decided to bring it up to her. When I walked into our room she was still sleeping.

"Babe." I said while placing her food down on the nightstand and gently shaking her.

"Hmm?"

"Come on and sit up. I brought you food." I responded while Giselle proceeded to open one eye to try and see what I brought. I knew she couldn't since she didn't have on her glasses so I handed them to her while I helped her sit up.
