The next day, I saw Karl get late again. When he went to his seat he was scolded by Rose for being tardy again. Rose decided that each time he gets late he will buy her an iced tea and Karl really didn’t like that.
I saw Karl sleeping and when the 1st subject is already done, Rose went to his seat and immediately woke him up and scolded him again for sleeping and not listening to the teacher. Rose decided that each time Karl sleeps he will buy her a burger.
The next subject surprised me. I saw Karl actually listening to the teacher for the first time but his eyes were so sleepy but he managed to survive the 2nd subject. Rose went to his seat and congratulated him for surviving the 2nd subject and she challenged Karl that if he survives the 3rd subject without having any sleepy eyes, she will buy him a burger.
The 3rd subject came. It was chemistry and it was Karl’s most hated subject. Rose stared at Karl and Karl knew he was being stared at by her. Karl tried his best and struggled not to be tempted to sleep and what kept him stayed alive is the thought of having a free burger if he passes the test.
“Okay See you class.” The teacher said.
“See you and may God bless you ma’am!!!!!!!!”
Karl was very happy because he was going to be treated for a burger by Rose.
“I didn’t expect you’d survive. Let’s go get your burger Karl haha.”
Karl and Rose went to the canteen and ate some burger. They were both happy and Rose challenged him that if he could continue studying every single day, she will treat her to a burger. Karl without a doubt accepted the challenge.
The next day was so surprising. I’ve never seen Karl serious in studying and listening to the teacher. What’s even more surprising is that he’s been having great scores in quizzes and tests. Everyone was shocked to his great change and improvement. Of course Rose still treats Karl to a burger every dismissal. He continued studying and having incredible scores every single day. Everyone couldn’t believe that Karl had a great potential hidden all this time. Rose was very happy of his improvement.
“You know, it would be great if you would be the first honor.” Rose said.
“Huh? I don’t really care about that. Well, I started studying and was actually shocked of my scores that weren’t that bad. I realized that I’m not that dumbest after all.”
“Huh? What are you talking about? Everyone in the room looks at you like you’re a sleeping genius that has finally awakened you know? I know that you’re very capable of being the top of the class knowing your hidden abilities.” Rose told Karl.
“How about this, If I become the top student you will treat me 2 double patty and double cheese burgers and 2 glasses of fresh milk how about that?” Karl reached his hand to Rose.
“Only if you become the first honor. Deal.” Rose and Karl shook hands.
Rose was happy for Karl that he improved. Karl also is having fun having challenges that makes him pumped up with the burger prizes. At that day, Karl and Rose had a lot of fun.
