I entered the room early and I saw Karl alone, sitting on his chair reading a book with a smiling face. I never thought that he will be the earliest student to come to school. It’s quite ironic for me.
The bell rang and the flag ceremony ended and the teacher checked the attendance.
“Ma’am Rose is absent.” said the monitor in column 8.
Karl immediately stood up and looked at column 8 and Rose was never to be found. Karl sat back and his mind was full of thoughts asking himself “Why the hell is Rose absent?”
“The molecular formula of the element Carbon is composed of bla bla bla”
Karl looked at the teacher but understood nothing and slept all the time until morning subjects ended. It’s been a long time that Karl slept during classes.
When lunch break ended, Karl went to his seat like a zombie, walking with no energy at all. He immediately leaned to his seat and slept. Before the bell rang, Karl stood up and said,
“I can’t take this anymore I’m going to go see Rose.”
Karl grabbed his bag and left. He rode in a cab and went to Rose’s house.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Rose asked Karl the moment she saw him.
Karl slowly took off his pair of shoes and showed it to Rose.
“I’m sorry Karl but I don’t know how to repair shoes.” Rose told Karl.
“Huh? IDIOT You said we will have another round of snacks together if I have cleaned my shoes you know?”
Karl looked at Rose like he really wanted her to go have snacks with him. Rose saw Karl’s eyes and started laughing. Rose kept on laughing and grabbed Karl’s pair of shoes.
“It’s still smell like sh*t you know ahahahaha.” Rose told Karl and didn’t stop laughing.
“You have no idea how many times I put perfume in my shoes you idiot.” Rose just kept on laughing and kept on talking on how he stepped on the poop. Karl sighed and just smiled. Rose told Karl to come in her house and Karl entered through the door.
“What’s so important in having snacks anyway? The last time we had snacks together made me bankrupt you know -_- “ Rose told Karl and gave him a glass of water.
“Why did you skip classes Rose?” Karl answered and drank some water that Rose gave him.
“Nah it’s nothing.” Karl looked at Rose and Rose’s expression was empty. He’s never seen Rose emotionless because he used to see Rose always smile.
“So why did you also skip classes? Don’t tell me you just came here to ask me for snacks? I’m sorry but I’m currently bankrupt today Hahaha. You can just ask other rich guys you know?”
Rose drank some water after asking Karl.
The moment Karl heard what she said, he realized it now. He was already sure. He was so sure. He laughed and sighed after realizing about it. He never thought that it would turn things that way. He grabbed Rose’s arms.
“Can I take you on a date Rose?”
Rose suddenly spilled some water after hearing what he said.
“HUH?” Rose couldn’t believe what Karl said.
“Don’t worry Rose. I have already accepted your terms and conditions. It’s my treat so you don’t have to worry about being bankrupt. My shoes are also already clean. So can I take you on a date?”
Karl asked Rose while clinging to Rose’s arms.
Rose looked at him and suddenly ran to her room.
“Huh?"
Karl didn’t know what happened. Karl’s mind became blank and didn’t know what to do.
“JUST A SECOND KARL!!”
Karl didn’t understand and he’s mind was very confused. He just waited at the bench. Then the door opened and he saw Rose.
“SO WHERE ARE WE HEADING???? YEHEY!!!”
Karl looked at Rose didn’t understand everything that happened. What Karl was thinking is what Rose was wearing.
“You wear clothes that are for guys?” Karl asked Rose while looking at her wearing a No Fear Tshirt and jeans that are for boys.
“Yup! I really like them! This one that I’m wearing is my brother’s. I don’t like clothes for girls.”
Rose sat at the bench and wore a pair of sneakers.
“You look really cool.” Karl gazed at Rose.
“I know right?! Nyahahaha So where are we going?” Rose asked Karl.
Karl’s thoughts were empty. He never thought about where and what to do in a date. He never even expected that Rose will accept his request.
“I don’t know. I never thought you will accept my request. I don’t know about dates too…”
Karl sighed and Rose looked at him and laughed.
“I don’t know about dates too but what I know is that you should treat the girls with a meal and have fun Nyahahahaha”
Rose laughed and Karl was annoyed because he knew that she just accepted his offer because she knew that it’s going to be Karl’s treat. When Rose told Karl about having fun, Karl has something on his mind.
“I’ve got an idea.”
