“Everyone please bring a basket of flowers for the statue of Mama Mary.”
Our adviser said. What a bother. Looks like I’m gonna need more money about this. I want to save much money as possible. Oh God why are there so many things needed to be paid anyway. I wonder what kind of flower is the cheapest.
“Hey Ed, what flower is the cheapest?”
“I don’t know. Anyway why choose the cheapest? What about if you use the 1,000 pesos that you robbed from me? Hahahaha xD” Ed told me.
“Shut up. It’s not about the most expensive flowers. It is about of how the flower is given whole heartedly you know.” I told him.
“How touching hahaha.” I threw a piece of paper at his face after I heard what he said.
I am really troubled what flower I should buy. Maybe I’ll just buy any flower and get this over with.
“Are roses expensive Ed? That’s the only flower that I really know.”
Ed didn’t respond.
“Hey Ed.”
I looked at him and his eyes were shocked and are staring at the floor.
“Hey Ed what’s up?” I asked him.
“Oh. Sorry. I’m fine.” After he told me that he leaned on his seat and started to sleep. This guy’s laziness always amazes me even after I’ve seen it many times. So I decided to buy roses for the Statue of Mama Mary.
Moments later it was finally the lunch break. I ate my lunch and when I entered the room it was the same as always. There are always many people around Jackie asking many questions.
“So what do you like about Ed again? The girls asked.
“I’ve already told you a million times I like him because he’s got all the talents and he’s smart and he’s a gentleman you know?” Gail answered to them. The girls are still wondering and are still confused why he calls Ed a smart guy. Well, it’s understandable. Every time we see Ed, the only thing he does is sleep or wake up. Everyone started laughing when a girl said that Ed is just so dumb and couldn’t believe what Gail said. Then suddenly a random girl asked,
“I wonder if Ed has tried liking a girl.”
When the girl said that, everyone just burst out on laughing and everyone just thought that there is no single possibility that Ed used to like a girl.
“Well, for me I think Karl didn’t use to like a girl.
Instead, he used to love someone.”
Gail looked down and when everyone looked at her, all they saw in her face was sadness.
“I never want that it will happen again to Karl. I WILL CERTAINLY NEVER LET IT HAPPEN EVER AGAIN.”
We looked at her and her eyes were so full of pain and her eyes were full of suffering. The air that was once full of laughter has completely turned into a serious conversation.
“Let me share something to you guys. Karl will probably kill me once he knows that I told you guys.”
“It’s about a girl named Rose.”
