-Peridot's POV-
Yesterday, all of the prisoners went missing. I overheard from a few friends that all the guards who were guarding their cells at the time would be executed. So of course, more than the usual amount of guards are guarding my room. Although, it really doesn't bother me, even though I can't get an inch of privacy. I don't want those silly "Crystal Witches" to mess with me.
Today, all of my lessons have been cancelled. So I sit here, in my comfy lime green office chair and study. Until my sister Amethyst barges into the room.
"Hey, Nerd! It's a beautiful day outside!" She strolls over to me with a sly smirk, and an added wink. "Whaddya say, let's go to town and start some mischief!"
"Amethyst," I whisper shout,"You know we're not supposed to leave!"
"That's the best part. Plus, all our lessons and meetings and whatever are canceled. We never get time off!"
"Our diamond will have us executed, you clod!"
My sister looks left and right suspiciously, then leans in and whispers, "Not if she doesn't know about it."

So here I am, walking around town dressed in rags, following Amethyst around as she peruses around the market. She buys the oddest items, mostly exotic foods that're probably loaded with other exotic, gross substances. I keep my distance. I eventually wander off, and see the rest of this town for myself. We avoided the downtown area in order to not get caught, so there isn't much here except merchants and small houses made of wood, stone, or brick.
I'm busy examining a booth displayed with sparkling crystals, when someone beside me trips and falls. A bag of lapis lazuli and sapphire gemstones falls out of a leather satchel and onto the ground, and before I knew it another person came and snatched those off the ground. Her reflexes are extremely fast, her skinny arm outstretched and grabbing the collar of the fallen woman's shirt.
There's something that the woman sees that makes them freeze, slowly stand up, and walk away, leaving her crystals on the ground. It must've be the woman's face, but I can't seem to get a good look at it.
The thief starts to pick up the crystals, and as I walk past, I can see that she has blue skin.
-Pearl's POV-
I don't know exactly why we waited a year to save the so-called Water Witch, but finally we broke her out, along with other witches, too. It took a few months to let Steven go. He's the strongest witch we have, able to withstand silence mist, and also has super strength. Not to mention, his spit has healing elements in it. Just like his mother.
When the Water Witch arrived, she was escorted immediately to the infirmary, where witches worked nonstop to mend her wounds. It took them all night. Although today, she seems to have regained some of her strength, and decided to visit the market.
The Water Witch is an extremely powerful witch. She is an essential part of this mission. If she were to back out, or rebel on us like she did a year ago, there would be no hope for the Crystal Witches.
