Hey guys!! In this chapter, Peridot and Amethyst are going to be called "Corundum Peridot" and "Corundum Amethyst"! But don't be fooled, these aren't new characters, they're actually titles. "Corundum" is princess, "Diamond" is queen.
-Lapis' POV-
As I enter the castle, for a moment I stand in awe at the entrance.
The ceiling glitters at every movement, green gems, yellow and purple glitz and glimmer in the moonlight from the windows above. I wonder what it would be like to see this every day, or to just live in a castle, but I remember that I did for a year.
Green and Purple ribbon intertwine along the walls, showing the way to the throne room. Nervousness hits me like a truck, but I start walking. Every step brings me confidence, reminding me of why I'm here and what I'm meant to do.
I enter the throne room, and men and ladies talk regally in glorious glittering gowns speckled in gemstones of all sorts to indicate what court they're part of and what job they have. For a moment I realize my dress is nothing compared to theirs.
In the front of the room, sitting in a chair to the left, is Corundum Amethyst. To her right, in a chair about ten--no twenty times her size is Corundum Peridot, soon to be Diamond Peridot. Her mother Yellow Diamond is nowhere in sight, her shining yellow chair is empty.
I take a spot in the back behind a bunch of girls around my age, and watch the throne. An Agate comes and whispers in Corundum Peridot's ear, and the doors behind me shut behind me. She stands up and walks to a microphone in front of her, and starts blabbing on and on about what she's going to do about this wretched country. I'm already lost. My focus is directed to the windows, noting every escape route.

I'm so lost in thought, I don't know she's finished. Everyone claps, then suddenly, music starts playing. Some really lame, stupid music. I hate it. The girls my age that were once in front of me have now joined in a long line in front of Corundum Peridot. They shake hands with her and her sister.
A couple dancing bumps into me, nearly knocking me off my feet. I realize that these girls in line are all waiting to dance with the Corundums. Disgusting.
Since I want to give the impression that I am following the mission correctly, I get in line. It doesn't take that long when I get to the front and Corundum Amethyst has already asked me to dance.
-Amethyst's POV-
"Having a good time?" I ask the girl, gazing up at her face.
"Yes. Wonderful," She responds in a bored monotone.
I glance around the room, making sure nobody's listening and say softly,"I can get you to dance with Peri."
She looks a little nervous,"Uh..."
I cut her off,"I know your mission--her hands tighten at my shoulders--don't worry, I'm on your side."
I show her my birth mark on my chest.
