This plan is too over-complicated.
They've got this whole elaborate thing going on. But I have my own plan. Who said I have to follow their instructions completely?
Steven fixed a healing potion for me. I regained my strength and water abilities right away. Steven and I train together now, it's a way different feeling from a year ago when stupid Pearl wouldn't let him test his strength. I keep reminding myself that he won't be joining me on this mission, it's a solo one, and I start to feel a bit nervous.
I'm going to capture Peridot Corundum.
-Peridot's POV-
My coronation ball is tomorrow night. I can't believe I'll be joining my diamond in the head of the court. It'll be totally unreal! Except it is real, and it's really happening! My dream come true! Although, I'm not too keen on finding a companion. My diamond has invited the top most hardworking intelligent people from all four courts just to attend and be chosen! That means soldiers, terraformers, corundums like me, and more! I can't hold in my excitement any longer, I wish it would just happen right now!
I'm sitting here now, in my room, on a couch, while a servant does my hair, reciting the words of the speech I must memorize. I'll give it when everyone arrives, addressing my responsibilities as a Diamond. It's not long, only about five pages. When I'm done with the speech, the ball will commence. Ugh, I hate balls, I can't dance for my life. Of course, all the ladies are absolutely dying to dance with me, but I'm afraid they'll have to wait. Besides, I'll only dance with the one my Diamond chooses me to. Even when she does, it would be absolutely embarrassing to attempt to dance. I bet there's books about it, but I don't bother to read them. I don't have time for dancing.
But now I'm babbling!
