The boy in the hallway

Oh no....

ISABEL'S POV:

"Hello this is Isabel Burkett for testing please." Kayla pushes me forwards. 

"H..ello...." I stutter shaking the doctors hand. 

"Good morning Isabel, so tell me what has been the problem?" The doctor smiles at me. 

"Well.... I've been throwing up and pukeing out blood... I've also been receiving pains in my pelvis and I've been having constant period blood." I finish and look at the doctor hopefully. 

"Hmnnnnn.... " The doctor scratches his beard. I exchange looks with Kayla. She nods her head at the man telling him to continue. 

"We need to take some scans to be sure... please come into the next room for me please..." The doctor leads me into a different room. This can't be happening... I don't want to find out what's wrong with me. I want to just remain not knowing... Do I though? Do I want to never find out what's wrong with me? 

"Lie down here please Miss" A new doctor instructs me. I do as he says and lie down on the bed. I am then asked to take off all my clothes except my undergarments. This was very revealing for me but I had to do it. They took some scans and x rays before letting me get changed again.

That went ok I guess... it was just a bit intimidating. And I still have Aiden on my mind. Why would he possibly think I would ever cheat on him?! How could he ever think I didn't love him anymore. And why would he call me a bitch... Besides coming from him that's pretty rich.. I caught him sleeping with Cindy and kissing Cindy in the hallways. I watched him go from girl to girl and never notice me. 

So therefore, he has no right to call me a cheater or tell me I'm a bitch. 

I finish changing and rush out to see Kayla. 

"Heyyy how'd it go?!" She smiles and gives me a hug. 

"Alright I guess... I mean they just took some scans and then let me go..." 

"That's not too bad!" She exclaims. 

"I guess..." 

"Told you it would be fine! Aren't you glad I suggested you came..?" Kayla says. 

"Well Hun you more than  suggested I went... you freaking forced me!" 

"Yeah sorry about that... I was just really worried about you.. as your friend.." She nervously plays with the hem of her bag.

"Of course 'friend'" I smile and take my arm in the crook of hers. She laughs and we skip off arm in arm. 

Perhaps things will turn out alright....

[ 3 days later...]

AIDENS POV:

I really need to fix things with Isabel. She's still not in school but I know exactly where she is... After school I rush over to her friend Kayla's house. And yes... I remember her now. She lends me pencils in maths. I realised this when I turned round to ask for a pencil and the pencil girl wasn't there. Then I found out her name and address and bibbity boo bob's your uncle. 

I knock on the door and her mum answers. 

"Hello I'm Aiden I'm from Kayla's school I need to work on a project with her... may I come in?" 

Yes I just lied but desparate situations call for desparate lies. 

"Why of course you Handsome fella..." She smiles and guides me in.

Kayla's mum is hot but way too old for me. Plus I have a girlfriend so I need to stop thinking about that kind of thing. 

"Thanks you Miss." I smile at her.

"Oh please honey.. call me Melissa.. " She smiles and waves at me as she goes off into the kitchen. 

Dang. 

I make my way up the stairs and hear laughter from one of the rooms.

"Open it.. come on!"  I hear squealing and then the sound of an envolpoe being ripped open. 

Oh no... Shit KAYLA!" 

Then I barge in. 

ISABEL'S POV:

I was over at Kayla's house.. one because I knew Aiden would keep looking for me if I stayed at my house.. And.. the letter from the doctors arrived saying what was wrong with me. And I was not opening that schnitzel on my own. So I rang Kayla and we went to her house. 

We were sitting on her bed while squeaking and worrying..

"Open it! Come On!!" Kayla squeals at me. 

I clutch the envolope and tear it open.

No...

No....

Please no..

This can't be happening.

NO! 

"Oh no... Shit KAYLA!" I scream as I read the last line. 

Then the door flings open. 

Aiden stands in the doorway and stares at me. 

He lunges for me and grabs the letter from my hand. 

As he reads through it. Tears form in his eyes.

He turns on me...

And hits me square in the face.
