Chapter 5

He's late.

Me and Aiden agreed to meet in the library to discuss our project.
Because APPARENTLY you and your partner have to write a presentation about why it is important to take care of your egg child.
And it APPEARS that SOMEONE
Has forgotten and is not turning up, and it's not even a date or anything but it's still annoying. 

I look around the library wondering if maybe I just missed him coming in. Then I see him in the corner of the library with a girl. I cringe as I see that they are making out as if their lives depend on it. 

and in a library as well? have some fucking dignity.

I stare at them feeling lost for words. Then out of the corner of his eye Aiden and me make awkward eye contact. He pushes the girl off him and makes his way over to me

shit shit shit 

I busy myself and act like I wasn't totally watching him that entire time. Aides sits down and looks at me waiting for my reaction. 

"sorry about that" he mumbles

"its fine, lets just get on with the project so we can both go home."

I open up my laptop and start typing up a powerpoint about the importance of our egg child, and responsibility. Then we hear the click of heels, getting closer and closer.

"Aiden come back to the corner" says a high pitched voice. 

I turn around to make eye contact with the biggest slut in our year. I rolled my eyes and turned back to my laptop, hoping Aiden would just leave so I could get one with this for us quicker. 

"Sorry Violet, I'm seeing Isabel now."

seeing? what the-

Violet sighs and walks away, swinging her hips at Aiden as she leaves. 

"Listen Aiden just go hang out with her its honestly fine, it would probably be quicker if I just got on with the project and finished it for us. I'm not one of your 'many girls' that you can fuck and chuck, and in reality I just want to get this done so I can go home" 

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to come across like a dick. I'll stay and help you with this, I may not turn up to class most of the time but I'm pretty smart when I want to be and I can help you with this." Aides smiles and takes my laptop from my hands and begins typing about responsibility for our egg child.

I smile back at him and watch him type. 

He's nice when he wants to be
