Chapter 23

Ricky's POV

Stacey: Ricky did you hide her so that you can go all gangster on her? I'll call the police it's best if they handle her.

I snatched the phone from her hand.

No you can't. She's the key to my life, I also need answers from her.

30 minutes later.

She finally woke up.

Hey.. there are you mad at me?

Jenelle: mad? That's the word you use? Mad isn't the right expression after you've shot a person.

I smiled.
I knew you wouldn't die.

I want answers Jenelle. Please.

She turned the other side.

Maybe she's from another dimension.. like another world where she's a doctor.

Where are you from?

She doesn't answer.

Well at least I know she won't leave on her own, I won't let her leave.

If you stay with me I promise I'll keep you safe from the cops. I'll protect you.

I know your thinking that your answers will shock me.. but it's okay I can handle it, tell me so you can go home.

what kind of world do you live in, and where did you see the things that know about me, but again she didn't answer.

Anyways I'll be leaving for a business trip for few days.

I got up to leave with Ben, when suddenly Jenelle bolted up in bed and said, "I love you!

I smirked while Ben stood there shocked.

Jenelle looked around for something. But then gave up and rolled back to bed.

That just reminds me of her flashing me  earlier,

I asked her if she thought that my heart would race if i'd seen her  naked or something.

Embarrassed, she says she thought it might work, i chucked calling her bewildering. She readily agrees that she is.

On our way out, Ben points out that despite calling Jenelle not pretty, I'd  seemed to be doing everything with her that a lover would—from surprise nakedness, to kisses, to declarations of love, a lover's quarrel ending with a slap, and now living together. I didn't argue, and told Ben to think of it however he wanted.

When we were about to head out.

Jenelle walked towards the elevator.

Jenelle: where are you going?

New York and then Germany.

Will I die? When I go there?

Jenelle : I don't know about those things when I'm here. So I can't help you.

So you know about those things when your not here correct?

Jenelle: yup.

That made me more curious about her.

Jenelle: all I'm gonna tell you is that I'm someone who wants you to have a happy ending.

She added with a big smile.

Jenelle: I'm your fan!. Your the first patient I ever cured on my own. So I want you to be safe.

I promise I'll take care of my self.

Umm how old are you?

Jenelle: 28 why?

Hmm we both are the same age.

Are you married?

Jenelle: no. She blushes.

Well good.

I headed to the elevator and winked at her.

Jenelle's POV

I stood there watching him go, i reached my hand up to my beating heart, "I found out later, the reason I was the only one who kept getting summoned here—it was because this man said I was the key to his life.
