Jenelle's POV

I went running into my dads room when I saw he hadn't come home yet.

Gosh dad where are you?

Jaye: I suggest putting up "The end" and ending the webtoon  here, cuz I don't see how You could survive another trip to that world when your a known fugitive there.

But.. what about Ricky?

Jaye: You're worried about Ricky? The living people are all about to be carted off to the mental hospital and you're worried about a comic character right now?

Jaye sits down at his computer to just end the webtoon here, and deal with the fallout later.

Ricky's POV

As I walked out of the prison, i finally got over the initial shock enough to think about Jenelle's  words.

I remembered her words..

My change of emotions was the key of her coming and going because..

I was the main character?

And that she was rooting for me to have a happy ending and she was my fan??

It starts to come together in a way that i can't ignore, and I was so lost in thoughts that i didn't notice Ben nudging me to take a call from uncle Brooke.

Uncle? She escaped.

Uncle: Ricky! Don't worry about that right now!

What do you mean?

Uncle: Assemblyman Henry has been waiting for an opportunity like this to bring you down.

Assemblyman Henry is nothing compared to this....

The reason I exist....that's the real problem.

At that point I held back my tears.

Uncle: what did Jenelle tell you?

It was some crazy nonsense, and that you were right about her at the outset..

she's just a crazy woman!

She spouted unbelievable nonsense!

Uncle: then why are you worried about it?

I admitted that her crazy nonsense explains everything that I previously couldn't explain about my life, and everything that had no context now makes sense.

It's an explanation that never once entered my mind before.

I hesitated again and again before saying...

This world... That this world... is all fake. It's a completely fabricated world.

The moment i said those words, the prison guards in front of me all suddenly freeze mid-stride.

I slowly lowered the phone from my ear and stared at the frozen officers.

I whirled around to look at Ben, who was also standing there like a statue.

Ayo? Ben?

I even tried to shake him but he didn't respond.

Back in Jenelle's world

Jaye erases the wordings from when I escaped.

Jaye: I'm gonna put up a notice that we're ending the webtoon due to some personal reasons.

I really didn't want him to do it, I just sat there watching Jaye doing the deed.

But as soon as he started typing the message, the webtoon image disappeared and his screen went white.

Ricky's POV

I marched down the corridor, shaking nervously as I walked past more and more frozen officers.

I reached the common area full of visitors, and every one of them was suspended in mid-motion as well.

It's like time just stopped.

I collapsed on the floor breathing heavily.

What the hells happening??

I'm.. all.. alone.

As I started to panic...

Narrator

The moment the main character recognized the fiction, the world inside the webtoon stopped. Only Ricky was the lone survivor in a world where time had been suspended—like a punishment brought down on the one who was self-aware.

Back in Jenelle's world 👅

Jaye runs around trying all of the computers in the workshop, but it's no use.

I stood still.. tears brimming down my eyes.

Something happened to Ricky, and it's all my fault, what's do I do now?

I Burst into tears.

Ricky's POV

I noticed something strange happening.

I turned to look around the hallway,

When I saw an outline of a frame—like the outside edge of a webtoon frame—being rendered out of thin air.

I walked over to it, and the space inside the frame fills with a glassy, liquid pool of light.

As I stood in front of it, my  image changed—outside the frame I was real, but inside the frame I was a comic drawing.

I slowly reached out a hand and dipped my fingers into the glassy light, and the sensation triggered a memory.

Back when I was bleeding at the rooftop I saw the same box like structure.

Now sure that this is the portal into Jenelle's world, I made a decision and stoped to pull a gun from an officer's holster.

Determination set into my face as I walked right into the light, without hesitation.
