Ricky's POV

Was she telling the truth?

Am I really a comic character?

After stepping through the mysterious webtoon frame connecting the webtoon world to the real one,

I came out on the other side and walked down the street in the pouring rain, still in a haze over the earth-shattering events that I just witnessed.

As I walked across the street I saw something that caught my attention..

It was an advertisement for the webtoon, with a giant image of Me plastered to the side of a bus, asking if I'll finally catch my family's killer.

I was so shocked after hearing that I didn't even notice the honking cars in front of me.

Narrator

He comes face to face with his own... face... and looks stricken to see the proof so plainly, that he is a fictional character. He reaches out a shaky hand to touch the sign, like he's still not sure that it's real.

And because he's smart, Ricky goes straight to the nearest bookstore to track down his own comic. What he encounters is more shocking than he anticipated though—an entire display filled with volumes, all featuring him on the cover.

As I opened the first volume of the comic, I saw the character introductions in the first page.

The story started when I was at the Olympic pistol shooting game and then me winning a gold medal.

I then read the part where my family was brutally murdered.

Tears started rolling down my face.

I ripped open several other volumes.

Why???? I cry...

But this time I was done with all thirty volumes.

I sat there numbly on the floor of the bookstore for a long time, until the employees finally asked me
to leave because they're closing.

I asked disappointedly to the employees

Is.. is this a popular comic book?

Employee: well yes! It's been a bestseller for almost 5 years now.

Huh.. I chucked.

I got up to leave when the employee wanted to say something.

Employee: sir? You want me to pack these for you?

I don't need them, it's a story I already know.

Jenelle's POV

At the hospital, I stared at the webtoon image of Ricky on his plane, saying to himself that he might be shaken if I said I loved him one more time.

Ring ring...

Hello?

Jaye: hey. I tried calling the technicians and they checked all the equipments at Dad's workshop, but everything is in working order and the server is fine too, so they don't know what caused the sudden freeze-out.

Jaye: Jenelle?

Yeah?

Jaye: I was so freaked out that I didn't even stay there at night. I'll come back when your dads back home.

Okay.. I got to go now I've got an operation to attend.

2 hours later.

Good work guys.

Jake: hey Jenelle?

Hmm?

Jake: do you have a fiancé? I mean you never told me.

What are you talking about?

Jake: someone's outside waiting for you and claims that your his fiancé.

You must me mistaken. I have no guy in my life to be engaged to.

As I walk away from the operating room, I remembered that there was someone who used to call me his fiancé...

No... it.. it's not possible.

I came out to the lobby where Jake was talking to a man in black, and when I arrived, the man turns around.

It's Ricky, of course, and I gasped, my jaw practically hitting the floor. He winks at me.

Jake: do you really know each other?

Ricky: yes.

He says while leading me away by his hand.

I was so stunned that I just watched everything he was doing, and when I finally found my voice,

Am I back into your world?

No.. this is my hospital! And Jakes there too.

Ricky: I've come here... to your world.
