"We're lost, just admit it!" I grouched.

"We're not lost Bec! We're almost there!" My friend Kyle argued back at me from the drivers seat of his red corvet.

"Could have fooled me." I snapped right back.

"Guys, come on stop arguing. Please! We'll never get anywhere with you two bickering about it!" My other friend Ryan butted in.

"Then tell Bec to stop yelling at me and let me drive!" Kyle sneered.

"I wouldn't be yelling at you if you knew where you were going!" I exclaimed, annoyed.

"God you two are impossible! Jen, do you have any idea where we are?" Ryan asked the girl sitting next to him in the back seat.

"No.....no idea...." My fourth friend Jennifer whimpered from her spot, pushing her thick black framed glasses farther up her nose.

"See Kyle?! We are lost! Not even Jen knows where we are!" I bickered.

Kyle gave me a side glare, still trying to focus more on the road.

My name is Rebecca Steele, but everyone calls me Bec for short. I'm 18 years old and I have dark brown hair and green eyes. I'm currently on a road trip with my three best friends: Ryan White, Jennifer Hayes, and Kyle Woods.

Ryan had blonde wavy hair and really pretty blue eyes. He had a very nice and leader-like personality. Ryan liked to make sure that everyone felt included in what we were doing. He was always trying to settle mine and Kyle's arguments as well. Ryan was definitely destined for some type of management position when he got out of college.

Kyle had light brown hair and brown eyes. He was stubborn, and always liked to be right, he hated admitting he was wrong, especially to me. Other than that he was a total jokester, loving to be funny.

Lastly there was Jennifer, we called her Jen for short. Jen had short blonde hair that was always pulled into two cute pigtails and she had light blue eyes, very pretty like Ryan's. Jen was the shy one of our little group, she mostly kept to herself and her books. That's why she's so wicked smart. Regardless of how much of a loner she was, she opened up to the three of us. She was my best friend.

We skipped school today to come on this trip. It didn't really matter, it was the week before Spring Break, so we weren't doing anything in our classes anyways. Plus we were all 18 and seniors in high school, so our senioritis was pretty severe by now....

The four of us were on our way to a place called Horrorland, an amusement park that none of us had ever heard of. But Kyle had received a brochure for it in the mail recently.

*FLASHBACK*

We were all hanging out at Ryan's house, just sitting around in his basement.

That's when Kyle burst through the door, he looked excited about something and he waved a piece of paper around in his hand.

"Guys!!!! Who wants to go to Horrorland?!" He exclaimed.

    "Where?" Ryan asked him.

"Horrorland! It's this scary themed amusement park! I just got a brochure for it in the mail! Let's go!" Kyle spat energetically.

"I've never heard of it. Let me see that." I spoke, taking the paper from Kyle.

'The Horrorland Horrors Invite You to Horrorland!'

'A day full of fear, frights and fun! Bring friends and enjoy a day at Horrorland!'

"Sounds great! Let's go, it'll be fun!" I said.

"It sounds scary. I'm not very big on scary..." Jen whimpered.

"Oh come on, it won't be that bad! Like Bec said, it'll be fun! Come on Jen!" Kyle pushed.

"I think it sounds cool. Come on Jen, we'll all go and make a day out of it!" Ryan consoled.

    "Well....Ok." Jen gave in.

"YES!!! Horrorland!!! When do we want to go?!" Kyle questioned.

"How about next week? We can skip school and go then? The work load won't be anything next week so it'll be perfect!" Ryan suggested.

"Yeah!!" The rest of us cheered.

"So it's settled. Next week we're going to Horrorland!" I cried happily.

*FLASHBACK OVER*

Now it's a week later and we've been driving for what seemed like forever. The sun was almost at its highest point in the sky, making the car hot as hell. Even with the windows down. I was 100% positive that we were lost. Kyle, being stubborn though, refused to ask for directions.

Now we were in the middle of scenic nowhere.

"Kyle, can we please just stop and ask for directions?" I pleaded for what seemed like the 50th time.

"I hate to take sides, but I kind of agree with Bec on this one man. We need to figure out where we are." Ryan agreed.

"Fine! We will stop and ask for directions. Once we find an actual other person to ask! There's nothing but desert, rocks and dead trees for miles!" Kyle replied.

The three of us slumped down in our seats and shut up after that. He was right.

We drove for a while in silence, just looking out the windows at the barren land. I watched a couple of hawks circle overhead, slowly dropping down on some sort of prey, dead or alive, who knows.

After awhile we came upon a thicket of trees, they shielded the car from the blazing sun.

"Now where are we?" I questioned.

    "Still nowhere." Kyle grumbled.

"At this rate, we'll never make it to Horrorland." I whined.

"We'll get there, don't worry." Kyle assured.

I sighed thoughtfully and looked out the front windshield at the trees and road ahead. I could just barely make out some sort of shiny object up the road. Squinting, I leaned forward in the passenger seat at it. The object was coming up fast, but Kyle wasn't driving that fast for it to be coming up that quickly.

That's when the object became more clear. It wasn't shiny at all. It was bright and blazing. A fireball!

And it was coming right for us!
