"Kyle!" I squealed, a smile spreading across my face. I began to run down the steps of the alter towards him.
But then, I felt the choking sensation around my neck. It wrapped roughly around my throat and caused me to collapse to the floor. As I coughed for air, I saw Slappy still standing at the alter, his hand outstretched with the green smoke around it. His face was twisted with fury.
"Just where do you think you're going, my Queen? Curly, say the words!" Slappy growled.
"I now pronounce this couple, the eternal King and Queen of Horrorland!" Curly declared, throwing Slappy a gold ring with a huge green gem on it. Slappy caught it and forced it onto my finger.
"You're mine now, Rebecca!" Slappy grinned wickedly.
"Bec!" Kyle called, running down the aisle towards me.
"Ah, ah, ah. Not too close, human." Slappy sneered, putting his hand out towards Kyle now. Kyle clutched his throat and fell to his knees in mid-run.
The choking feeling receded from my neck now and I began to get up. Looking over at Kyle I saw that his face was beginning to turn blue, Slappy was going to kill him!
"Kyle, no!" I shrieked. I grabbed Slappy around the waist and yanked him to the ground, making him lose his focus from choking Kyle.
Slappy hit the floor with a clunk. He lifted himself up with his arms and stared daggers at me as I began to crawl backwards away from him. As I did, two people came up behind me. It was Wally and Mary-Ellen! Slappy's face filled with outraged shock.
"How did you get out?!" He angrily questioned.
"Hello brother. The humans were sensible enough to let us out of our cells after we told them of your maniacal past. We offered our help and now that they've led us to you, it's time for revenge." Wally growled.
Slappy's face went blank for a second but then his furious expression returned. He snapped his head towards Kyle.
"You've released a demon! What have you done?!" Slappy shouted at him.
"We're both demons, brother. We're made from the same cursed coffin. You and I are just as evil as the other." Wally grouched.
"I'm stronger than you! You were always picking on me and beating me up when we were younger. That's why I locked you up, you would've been nothing but a thorn in my side as I climbed to become King. That's when I knew that I at least had the upper hand." Slappy shot back.
"You betrayed me by throwing me in that prison! I only picked on you to toughen you up! You were weak! You still are! Hiding behind your monster followers as they do all of the work for you!" Wally ranted.
"You still think you're stronger?! Well, then let me show you just how strong I've become!" Slappy snarled.
Both of the dummies lunged at one another and collapsed to the floor, fighting. I still sat on the floor and took this time to take Kyle's hand that he'd offered. Helping me up, Kyle and I began running from the church, most of the monsters were too focused on helping Slappy. They were horrified that their King was being attacked.
Fleeing back outside, the rain was still coming down. Nasty lighting cracked all around and thunder boomed shortly afterwards. The rain itself was coming down in sheets, soaking the both of us quickly.
As we ran down the chapel steps we spotted Jen! She was a few yards from the church in the village center, holding out her phone in front of her with the flashlight app on.
