Chapter 5

"I should go home" Aurora said

"I drove you here, i'll drive you home" i told her

We walked to my car and I pulled out into the road and i was not even half a mile down the road was i Looked over at her in the passenger seat staring out the window. We passed my street about 10 minutes later and went three houses down to hers

"What's wrong?" I asked her when i put the car in park

"Nothing" She said

"I know somthing wrong Aurora"

"You know nothing about me" She snapped, and it caught me by surprise. She opened the door and started to get out

"Aurora i was just trying to help-" I started but she turned towards me and cut me off.

"I didnt come here for a boyfriend Luke" She shook her head and shut the door, i watched her walk into her front door. What did i do wrong?

........................................

The next day at school Aurora didnt so much as look at me, let alone talk to me. I dont understand what happened, we were having fun then she goes and snaps at me telling me that she doesnt want anything form me. I wasnt trying to push her into anything, maybe she thought i was. She was so different. From the way she talks, to the way she smiles and laughs. They way she looks When she finshes one of her books during class, the way she leaned into me at the party, the way were so close on the bed of that truck and the way she was the first day she walked into this classroom, into my life. The three toned bell that dissmissed 5th period went off over the school speakers and i went to the auditouim where i knew i would find her. I opened the big heavy doors and saw her in one of the front seats knees to her chest reading. She was to lost in the book to notice me untill i spoke up. I sild into the seat beside her

"Hey" I said. She jumped and spawled into a normal seating postion with her feet on the ground.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She asked closing her book to show the cover read "The Mortal Instruments: City Of Glass"

"I came to talk to you"

"Talk about what?" She asked

"About what happened after the party" I said, she bit her lip and looked away from me

"I dont know what you're talking about" she said, getting up from the seat and walking off

"Aurora" I said. She didnt answer. So i said her name again, when she didnt answer the second time i grabbed her hand and turned her around. She ran into the my chest and our faces were inches apart. Her voice was soft when she spoke

"Luke-" She stopped when my lips met hers softly. I kissed her harder when she went up on her toes just a bit to kiss back, part of me was afraid she wouldnt kiss back. She pulled away to speak

"Luke I cant" I kissed her again "I-" But then she stopped talking and grabbed the back of my neck pushed me down hard on her lips. I had my hands around her waist. I was the one who broke away next. We were breathing hard, one of her hands still on my neck the other had found its way on my chest. I looked at her, every part of her face, she was so beautiful

"Why are you staring at me?" She asked

"You're just- just so.... Beautiful" I smiled down at her

................................................

"So that was you i heard?" She asked, i nodded, we were sitting down next to each other now.

"You were amazing" I told her. She just looked at me

"You were not suppost to hear, no one was"

"Aurora i'm not like them. You know that" I didn't know why she was so bent on not believe me

"I want to believe that" She whispered, her voice sounding like she truly meant it.

"Why can't you?" I asked I put my hand on her shoulder. She looked up at me with tears in her eyes, and i saw the pain, i didnt know if i was even ready to hear it "You dont have to tell me now" I told her "Tell me when want to"

"Thanks" She weakly smiled

"So" I said leaning back putting my arms behind my head "About the no boyfriend thing" I said looking at her "Did you happen to change your mind?" I asked raising my eyebrow at her. She smirked and me

"Maybe"
