Chapter 13

I grabbed some chips out of the pantry and ate them at the island while my mum was washing dishes. My ten year old little brother Ben ran into the room and my mum made him a sandwich

"So is your girlfriend pretty?" He asked looking up at me from the seat next to me. I almost spit out my chips, i didnt know how to respond to his sudden question

"Um...yeah she is Kid" I said ruffling his hair. He smiled at me and i tried to return it.

"I wanna meet her" He pouted

"Maybe some other time okay?" He grinned and nodded his head and directed his attention back to his sandwhich. My mum gave me a questioning look from across the counter, apparently noticing my tone when i answered him. I just shrugged and was thankful when i heard knocking at my door. As i went to answer it i was hoping it was Aurora, but wasnt really surprised when i opened it to find Ashton

"Is your phone smashed or somthing?" He joked from the other side of the doorway

"Sorry...just had a lot on my mind" I ran my hand through my hair. We went up to my room and when the door shut he jumped on the chair i had in the corner

"Alright what's up?" He asked. I sat down on my bed and rested my elbows on my knees

"Aurora and I kinda broke up" I sighed

"You're fucking joking me" He gaped. I shook my head no "Man i'm sorry that sucks"

"tell me about it" I said dully

"I did not see that coming...." He trailed off "Why did you guys end it?" He asked after a while. I layed back on my bed and stared at the white paint trying to make my mind blank as well

"I didnt end anything" I sighed

"Woah woah" He stood up from his seat "She broke up with you? but she seriously liked you. Why?" I sat up to look at him

"It wasnt so much her as it was her dad who ended it" My jaw had set hard and the look on Ashton's face could have been funny if i wasnt so pissed off

"What the Hell? What did he do ban you from seeing her?" He asked and the look on my face gave it all away "He did. why?"

"I have no fucking idea" I shook my head

"Luke listen, i dont know how you're feeling right now but i do know that you two are good for eachother and i think you should get her back"

"I know, i just havent figured out how" I shook my head. Ashton's phone beeped from his pocket

"I just remembered why i came here" He told me looking at the screen

"What?"

"Party tonight At Jai's" He told me. He picked up one of my snapbacks and tossed it to me smiling "Time to get your mind off things Hemmings"
