Chapter 18

Jennifer's POV

I could tell that Rose was upset when she walked in and getting a after school detention didn't help. She sat next to me and put the pink slip in her binder.

"What happened?" I asked as she sat down. She just waved it off and acted like nothing happened, but I could tell she was crying.

"It was nothing." She croaked out. I just shrugged, I'm not going to fight with her now.

Daniel was looking over at me and so was another boy. But the other boy was looking at Rose with sympathy.

"Looks like you have a lover." I whispered to Rose.

"I doubt it." She said.

"Look back." I said to her. It took her a second but she looked back and saw him.

But she quickly looked away and I looked at her with a confused look.

There is something wrong with her.

Rose's POV

"Look back." She said to me, and I did. But I saw him. That was my biggest mistake to look back. I quickly looked away, not wanting to look at him.

After my 3 periods I had 1st lunch. Jennifer nor Drew was in my lunch today. I sat down, not wanting to get lunch. Lunch wasn't my thing sometimes.

But then I saw him.

He was walking towards me and I got up walking away. He was my past and I didn't need to relive my past.

I went into the hallway and leaned against the locker, hoping he wasn't following. But he was.

I heard the door open.

"Seems like you changed a lot since that one summer before junior year." He said as he walked towards me.

"I was a child that summer and I changed. Now if you could please leave." I said starting to walk away.

"Don't walk away. I'm just getting started." He said as he was getting closer to me.

I stood stiff not moving and he wrapped his arm around my waist from behind. His grip was firm and I couldn't get out. He then pushed my hair away from my neck and kissed my neck. I quickly jerked my head away trying to avoid him but I couldn't move.

"Why are you resisting? Can't we play again?" He whispered, tickling my ear.

"No god dammit get off of me. I made a mistake now leave and go make some friends. I'm not yours and never was and I'm not anyone's." I said yelling but looking straight ahead. I couldn't look into those chocolate brown eyes and his dirty blonde hair. His face was just chiseled and he was so fit.

Is it just me or is almost everyone at my school perfect?

"But baby we aren't done yet." He said huskily and sent chills down my spine.

"Stop it." I said growling in a low voice.

"Make me." He said and I knew he was smirking. Oh I knew.

Then I saw Ashton come around the corner and saw me. Well the douche and me of course. Ashton always walks in at the wrong times. God damn. He looked pissed.

But also kinda hot. I started trying to get out of this douche's grip but he held on tighter.

"Excuse me, what's going on?" Ashton asked staring at us.

"Nothing." I said quickly.

"Everything." The douche said behind me. I wanted to bite this guys head off.

"Let go of me. I hate you!" I screamed at him.

"You know you haven't said my name at all to me since I've been here." He said to me.

"I know and I never want to." I said sternly and I looked at Ash pleadingly.

"You know, mystery guy, why don't you move along and not get sent to the office?" Ashton offered to him and looked straight into the douches eyes.

"Fine." The douche said and let go of me.

"But this isn't over." He whispered in my ear for only me to hear. Then he walked away, back into the cafeteria.

It's like my whole world is crashing down today and Ashton has to save me. All the time. Even though he's pissed.

Why does he love me?

I don't know.
