Chapter 33

Rose's POV
I woke up in Ashton's room, again. it was 4:00, about an hour after school had gotten out. I didn't know if he was here or not but I checked my phone.

Drew:
Hey, did you leave school early?
Drew:
Are you okay?
Drew:
Hello?
Drew:
Text me when you can please.

Missed call:
Mom

I sighed. Oh look who bothered to call. I don't need to deal with her bullshit right now. I looked around and I saw Ashton's nice, neat bedroom.

I felt better but I still wanted to sleep. I rolled over to get in a better position and Ashton was laying in bed, sleeping, with his shirt off.

"Shit." I muttered under my breath. I can't be in the same bed as him. Nope. Not good. I slowly tried to get up but his arm snaked around my waist. Well fuck, he's way too strong. I tried to move away but he just brought me closer and pressed me against his body. I don't know if he was awake or not.

"Ashton?..." I whispered. No response. Well shit, looks like he wanted to take a nap. With his shirt off... He looked so sexy with his shirt off.. No stop it Rose. Stop. This man broke your heart and he's a teacher and I can't love him. I don't love him. He doesn't love me. It isn't meant to be. I need to get over it.

Then my phone started ringing. It was Drew. I picked it up.

"Hello." I whispered, trying not to be too loud.

"Hey, did you leave school early? Are you okay? Did something happen?" He started bombarding me with questions.

"Yes, I'm fine. I just had to leave early because I had a doctors appointment." I said with my same tone of voice. That was a terrible lie because my mom never set up doctors appointments but whatever.

"No you didn't your mom doesn't do that..." He trailed off and then Ashton groaned loudly. Shit.

"What was that?" Drew said, in a stern voice. God dammit Ashton why.

"Nothing, nothing. I have to go. Sorry, bye." I hung up. Drew is going to find out. I know it. The struggle of loving a teacher. Wait no I don't love him. I don't love him.

I could feel Ashton against me and I just tried to relax. But I remembered the girl and him kissing and I just, I couldn't relax. Was that girl in this bed like I was? Tears started to swell in my eyes. Thinking about it just hurts so much. But whenever I thought of Ashton my heart skipped a beat.

What is this stupid thing called love?

I don't know. But it's stupid and complicated and someone always ends up heartbroken or you end up together forever.

"Good morning beautiful." I heard him say groggily, pulling me out of my train of thought.

"Afternoon." I say and I loosen from his grip, getting up.

"What's wrong?" He asks, casually. I stopped in my tracks and clenched my teeth.

"Are you serious?" I asked, wide eyed. What's wrong? What the fuck?

"Yes I'm serious."

"Fine yea something's wrong Ashton. Something's wrong and it's all your fucking fault. You broke me into little pieces and shattered my heart. Just from a kiss too. We weren't too official either. I'm probably just 'overreacting' aren't I?" I look him in the eyes, "Yes Ashton, something's wrong. I hate you. I hate you so fucking much. I hate you Ashton and I hate you because I love you so damn much. But I can't bring myself to forgive you over a stupid kiss. That's what's wrong."

Then he looks me in the eyes and I couldn't read what his emotions were. He just kinda stood there.

"You love me?.." Is all that came out of his mouth. The tears started swelling up. This was so annoying, I didn't want to cry. But my body did. So tears started pouring down my face.

"Oh my god, Rose. I... I love you god dammit." He said and he hugged me. I instinctively put my face in his chest and just cried. I felt so comfortable in his arms. I couldn't control my emotions. I couldn't do anything.

"Please forgive me." He whispers in my ear. I just stayed silent. I didn't know what to do. I just stayed in his arms.
