Rose's POV

After that big scene I was pissed. I had one period but we were blocking so I had gym next. I had to see Ashton. The one who left me to deal with my mom.

My first period, that I was late to because of the douche, was chemistry. I walk in and get stares. The teacher was glaring at me and I just sat down. I didn't really give a shit about what people say.

"Ms. Tyler, you're late." My teacher says to me as I sit down.

"I know, it won't happen again." I said casually as I took out my notebook and book for chemistry.

"It better not." He said and then he continued the lesson. I sighed and intently listened to the lesson. I had to keep my grades up.

One period later

Chemistry was over and I was heading down to the gym. I had to see the guy I love but also am pissed at. I don't know. I don't understand love. I just know it's a great feeling.

When I got down there I went into the locker room and started dressing out into my gym clothes. I was the first one in the locker room so it was nice and quiet. Except, I heard Ashton on the phone. The locker room is right next to his office, it's a bit weird.

"Yes I know." I hear Ashton say, his tone sounded annoyed.

"Yeah okay I gotta go, bye. I love you too." I hear him and he ends the call. I love you too? What the fuck? I felt the tears come in my eyes as all the girls piled into the locker room.
Everyone was talking loudly and I walked out, waiting in the gym.

I started warming up by doing a couple of push-ups. I try to get what he said our of my mind but it just keeps repeating in my head.

I stood up from my push-ups and Ashton is standing beside me. I casually moved and went behind everyone.

"Hello class. Today we'll be testing how good your soccer skills are." Ashton says and he looks at me the whole time. I keep my eyes on the ground.

"So everyone go outside and I'll be there to split you in teams." He says and I follow the class outside. Everyone was having their own conversations. I was kinda the lonely one. Jennifer wasn't in this class so, I didn't have anyone. I've always been known as the lonely one.

Once we get on the field, I was left in the front of the class. I guess they wanted to keep me miserable.

I was actually excited about what we are doing in gym. I've been doing soccer since first grade and loved it ever since. The soccer season hasn't started up at our high school yet. I was on two teams, I was on our highest team at my school and I was on a select team. Also if I quit soccer my mom would hate me even more.

"Okay, who plays soccer here?" Ashton speaks up, bringing me out of my thoughts. I barely raised my hand and some other raised their hand.

"Alright. Who plays on the soccer team here?" Ashton asks again and I keep my hand slightly raised. There was two teams at my school, the rookies and the veterans at soccer. I was the veteran. Other people had their hands raised.

"Who plays on the veteran team?" Ashton just keeps asking questions. I sigh and keep my hand raised.

"Is there a problem Ms. Tyler?" Ashton asked me and I looked at him. That was when I noticed how close our faces were.

"No there isn't a problem. I understand that you're trying to split the teams evenly." I said, somehow getting the courage to look him in the eyes. He looked back into my. This was going to end terribly so I looked back down. Some of the class laughed.
