Dannielle had been unconscious for hours, since the attack yesterday. Her wounds had consisted of what seemed to be claw marks over her shoulder, chest, and collarbone, and she had also been shot with an unknown spell. We would find out what it was when she woke up. The pack doctor had moved her to her bedroom, but she was being monitored nearly all the time.

I sat on Lucas's bed, knees pulled up to my chest with my arms wrapped around them. The Little Red part of the newest message seemed familiar, but I just couldn't think of how. Each time it would float to the surface it would dissipate before I could grab onto it. I huffed in annoyance and set my chin down on my knees.

Lucas walked in then and I looked up at him through my hair. "You okay Brynn?" He asked, eyes filled with concern.

"Yeah, just worried about Dani." I said, nodding my head and stretching out my legs on the bed. Lucas walked over to me and placed a soft kiss on my lips. I smiled at him, laying my head against the pillow that smelled very much like him.

"So when you're ready I was thinking we could go look around the pack library for any useful information, prophecies or spells that could help." Lucas said, pulling me to his chest in a hug.

"Okay, I want to check on Dannielle first though." I replied, stepping away from him and walking out the door. I strode down the hall and passed no one on the way to her room. I rapped on the door and when no one answered I pushed it open. Dannielle laid on her bed, arms straight at her sides. The claw marks were already fading from her exposed shoulder and collarbone, puffy pink marks marring on her smooth olive skin.

We were the only two people in the room and it became obvious she wasn't going to wake up any time soon. I moved from my spot by her bed and walked out of the room, swinging the door shut behind me. I padded back down the hall in bare feet and took a wrong turn, ending up in front of a door labeled Celia's Room. I couldn't help being curious, recalling how Lucas's sister's name was Cecelia, or Celia. I pulled open the door and stepped inside quickly, looking around.

It looked like it had been completely untouched since she had gone missing. Two years had certainly given the room time to accumulate enough spider webs to distribute through the whole second floor and dust coated the book cases and bed. The heat in the room was off, making it a chilling cold. I shivered and backed up, bumping into someone.

I turned around to see Lucas standing behind me. "Oh it's you."

"Yeah, it's me. No one's come in here since that day." He said, eyes distant as if he were remembering.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to-" Lucas cut me off saying, "No it's fine, it's nice to see it again." I nodded and kissed him on the cheek. Together we headed towards the house library and walking in, I looked in disbelief at the number of books filling the shelves.

"We have to read all of these?" I shouted, getting an annoyed glare from someone browsing for books. Lucas chuckled at me.

"No just the ones we think may have something helpful. I'm going to go grab some, you look around and let me know if anything catches your eye." He said, walking around the corner and disappearing among the rows of book shelves. I weaved among shelves, fingers trailing against the old books. They were a variety of colors, but the all seemed to be leather bound, cracking with age. Some of the books that I picked up were in English, but many were in some other language that I didn't understand.
