At first I didn't think she would actually make the deal with me. Why would she actually consider spending a day with the son of the murderer who killed her sister? I mean she doesn't know that I'm the Prince which is good. But how long can I lie to her?
I watched her trail quietly behind me, looking completely bored.
"You know, you didn't have to say yes. If you disappeared again I wouldn't stop looking but I most likely wouldn't find you," I said sounding almost as down in the dirt as her. I turn to look at her and she's looking directly at me.
"I'm sorry I'm supposed to have fun trailing along behind your ass," she sasses off. I smile.
"I'm sorry. I'm supposed to plan an entire day off the top of my head, it's not like I have any help," I respond slyly. She scoffs. I kind of actually feel bad. "Honestly I'm sorry. I should be trying to get you to have fun and I'm just boring you. Is there anything you want to do?" I watch a smile spread across her face, then it turns to a frown.
"What?" I ask concerned. She looks almost disappointed.
"It's nothing. A stupid idea," she responds not sounding convinced.
"Come on tell me," I plead. I look at her and give her a face she can't possibly refuse.
"Fine. I was never allowed around people when I was younger because of.... my adoptive family I guess. I've always wanted to go to a park where I could run. I know it sounds childish but I kind of want to go," she responds letting her guard down for once.
"Let's go. There's a really awesome park just down the road from here."
"Are you sure?" she asked looking at me funny.
"Yeah why not?" I respond taking her hand. Strangely she didn't pull away, but she grasp my hand tighter.
"I think it would be good for you to go to a place that matches your IQ," she laughs.
"Hey! I scored highest on my test!" I gave a sarcastic look and laughed with her. This plan might actually work.

When we finally reached the park I felt like a child for once. Colton pushed me on the swing and he almost threw up on the merry-go round. We laughed together. It was hard to say but I was actually enjoying myself. Finally we sat down at a table to the left of the swings.
"Is something wrong Shad?" he walks over and asks.
"No. Well except there's an idiot blocking my view," I retort smiling.
"Honey, I am the view!" Together we laugh.
"No really what's wrong?" he finally asks again.
"As I said earlier it's nothing. I just want for us to know each other better and I thought we could talk. Besides I have to tell you something important," I say thinking of how I'm going to tell him. He pulls out a seat next to mine.
"Well which of us would you like to go first?" he asks.
"Definitely you," I smile waiting for him to start.
"Welll..... what do you want to know?" he laughs. Honestly I don't know what I want to know so I blurt out an answer.
"Everything," I watch as his face contorts into a laugh.
"I guess you're starting to warm up to me at least. I guess I'll start at the beginning. My full name is Colton Lucas Foster, I took my mother's last name. My father is rich and a snob while my mother was kind. After she died my father grew cold and I've tried to live off his horrible legacy. I decided to go off on my own those seven months ago and I met you," he says and looks at me expectantly.
"Well I don't know how to start......"
