It's been seven months. Seven months since I last saw her. That mystery girl who probably hates me about now. At least she didn't know who I was. She was one of those girls that you could just look at and think she's the best kind of bad. It was the way she had shown that she didn't need me that pulled me closer. She was completely inexplainable. You think she's that shy, quiet girl but when you meet her you realize that she is everything. Her laugh, her comments, her bravery. She was everything and more, but you never know what she'll do next.
When I thought of her everything disappeared. Except her. She was beautiful, but she was beautiful in the way a forest fire was. She was deadly, yet she gave me a fresh start. I wasn't the King's son. I was Colton. Stupid, idiotic Colton. I didn't have to be me, I could be someone else with her. I got a fresh start. Now I know I love her.
I know I do because all I do is think about her. For seven months. I know it's crazy and stupid to think I love her, but I don't think. I know. I know because everyday for the past seven months I return to that cafe hoping I can see her one last time. I know I love her because of the way I smile when I think of her. It doesn't make sense and I know that. But she's something else. She's... I don't know. She probably hates me. Most likely wants to kill my father. And will never be with me. She doesn't even know my last name. And she probably doesn't want to. I'll most likely never see her again. Then I'll be married off to someone I have to chose at the Suitor's Ball.
She will always be the first thought in my mind. When I get a call or someone says my name. But, deep down, I know it's never going to actually be you. I know that I don't deserve you and you don't need me. I know that she hates me, and I know I love her. I just hope once in a while I cross her mind, so I won't look so pathetic when she's always in mine.
