After she got booked and processed I went home for a couple hours. I knocked on Brian's door, I felt so bad for making him talk about his past. He answered, smiled, and pulled me close. I felt so happy and just calm being in his arms. He just whispered, "How are you Clar?" (Clar was my nickname he was the only one allowed call me that.) I whispered back, "I'm good babe but why are we whispering?" "Because I just know you've had a busy day and whispering won't make your head hurt." I held him tighter as I heard that because that is so sweet to hear that from someone! He carried me in his apartment and laid me on his couch and put a blanket on me, he brought me dinner and massaged my aching feet. I loved every single moment! He asked me,"So how was work sweetie?" I thought "Should I tell him about Isabelle?" I instead asked,"Was Isabelle crazy jealous?" He laughed and said, "She is, like she broke a lot of stuff in this house, when she brought up you she would slap me kept saying [I know you're a woman beater come one just beat me.] She knew I don't beat women." "Truth is Bry, we arrested her today." He looked at me dead on....
He looked at me dead on and said "What did she do?" "I am not able to talk about it at this time." At that time the power cut out and we couldn't see anything "Bry are you there?" I kept reaching out for him but I couldn't feel him. Then I hear a smash and things breaking. "BRIAN ARE YOU OK??" I was so worried my heart was pounding faster and faster, I got so sweaty and then I realized I still had my gun and I pulled it out and cocked the gun. I went back to the days of my training days. It was about stealth and to focus not on seeing things when you can't see them, but on what you can smell and hear and feel. I felt my way to a wall and held my position there waiting for noise... but I didn't hear anything. I saw the light switch and flipped it on....
Brian had been beat up. I ran over to him crying and I called 9-1-1 and I told them I was a detective and to hurry. I could hear him mumble "Babe babe babe" I kept telling to stay quiet and that they'll get here "It was her, it was her, get her" he mumbled that then passed out and I kept trying to get him awake and the ambulances finally came, I was so scared. I needed him alive. The place was a wreck, I have no idea how whoever got in his place and I was scared. Lamps were broken, blood all over the broke pieces. There was a blood covered bat Brian used for his adult men's baseball league. I felt as if this was a message to me to stay away and maybe their right.....
