10- The Tapes

The tapes got to my desk and I put them in and I had to run through hours upon hours of tape. Carly goes into a flower shop then Isabelle follows. Same thing over and over. Then I finally got somewhere when Carly goes into her apartment building Isabelle made a phone call right outside and then left. 40-minutes later a man holding his side as if he had a gun goes into the building. What does this mean? Like am I putting pieces together when they shouldn't? Or is it there's a big huge piece that I'm not seeing yet? My phone rings. This time it's my actual phone.
          "Hello?" I'm desperately praying that Brian's all ok. A man answers the phone. "Hello, is this Ms. Clara Bean?" I breathed heavily... "Yes it is. Is this about Brian?" "Yes Ma'am it is. I'm afraid he is having some breathing problems, nothing to serious only minor but we want to make sure you are here to go over the full analysis. Could you come in please?" I was confused if it was minor why would they need me? "Yes... of course I'll be there in 10 minutes." "Also I meet you at the entrance." I just said ok and I was kinda shocked. Like why would he meet me at the door. I told Chief they needed me at the hospital I grabbed my keys and phone and pocketbook and left.
I got to the hospital in about 15-minutes, which I hoped wasn't to late. I got to the entrance and there wasn't a man there. I waited for a couple minutes and sat on the bench. I went to get up and go in but a man finally came up to me, "Hello are you Ms. Bean" he went to shake my hand, "Yes I am, but is Brian alright?" He kept his hand out and I finally spoke it but when I went to release, he wouldn't let go. "He's fine just a few questions for you." I kept pulling harder and harder, "Sir, please let go of my hand. And you said it was his breathing." He gripped my hand so hard I felt my fingers popping. "It's a little of both I guess you could say." He gripped it hard and I heard a loud pop and I knew my hand broke... I knew he wasn't a nurse and he gave an evil smile.
Before I could say anything he inserted a needle in my neck and I felt everything go numb, "W w w w where is he?" I could barely muscle out the words, "ssshhhh don't waste the energy you have left. He's ok I was just sent for you. Your my new trophy I get to have." I tried so hard to run and or crawl away but nothing moved. I felt so lifeless and I needed to fight. I wanted to scream but I couldn't even barley move my mouth. Before I knew it he had me in his back seat laying down. I remembered his face, he was the man on the tapes. Before we even left the hospital parking I was knocked out.
I woke up and he was still driving, I was tied up and my mouth was duct taped. My hand was throbbing and swelled up. I tried to look out the window to see where I was but I was so dizzy. I could feel my phone in my pocket, he wasn't to smart to not ditch my phone. I could feel it buzzing and I hoped he didn't know it was my phone. He looked in his mirror and I pretended to still be knocked out. I was hoping he believed it. His phone rung and he answered it, "What?.... Yes I have her, she's prettier than her pictures. Thanks by the way..... What no I didn't hurt your precious Brian. I just wanted to see why you had me so all this work.... I'm not gonna murder her. She is my new trophy.... Kay talk later."
       I got so scared, why didn't I recognize him. I started tearing up.... I'm hoping Brian's ok. I'm praying for his safety. Why didn't I go through more of the tape. I had so many "Why didn't I's" but all I can focus on right now is the "What can I do's". He saw me with my eyes open. "Hey there! How is my trophy doing!" All I could do was squirm because he had me buckled up and tied up and duct taped. No matter how much my hand hurt, I squirmed. "Don't worry Trophy I got you. You'll be ok." He smiled and kept driving. How long will I be like this. I started crying softly and I just wanted to be with Bry so much. Why did this happen to me?
