21- The Talk

     We went in his office, "Brian I think it's time... Clara find out the truth." They both looked at me so concerned "Ok Alex... I trust you." He held my hand and held it tight, "Clara, we found him... but you need to know something..." "Alex just tell!!" I smiled but he didn't, and he looked so ticked off and he grabbed his chair so hard and gripped it, "CLARA... listen!!!" "Yes Chief." "You were gone over a month." I laughed nervously and looked at them both, "Wait guys... what do you mean?" "Babe, you were gone for 5 months." "What?" I looked at them and I started breathing heavily and I grabbed onto Brian's arm so hard and I fell forward a little, "What do you mean? I looked at my phone." "Clara your eyes were so bad. You could barely see out of them." "Babe are you ok?" "B b b Brian... help me." I started swaying and he sat me down and pulled a trash can close to me and pulled my hair up, "There more information. The drug he gave you was so strong that he'd have to be a doctor to have access." I gagged and threw up. I couldn't believe how bad I had gotten. I cleaned my mouth,"How bad did I get?" They looked at each other, "Clara let's not dwell on that now..." "Tell me." "You flatlined four times and barely could move. You almost lost your sight, and your lungs were filled as if you smoked for forty years."
      "Your healthy now. Your back to as close as normal is for you. You need to rely on Brian for support... talk to someone too." I couldn't take it anymore and I balled, my arm hurt so bad and I just wanted to crawl up in a ball and rock. Brian held me and let me cry. I can't believe I was gone so long, how did I let this happen? "So when I thought a month... it really was 5 months?" I looked up at them and the nodded and held me. I just felt like nothing in the world existed except me and my pain. I just stopped talking, I became the observer, not the observed. I just felt so alone and scared.
     After awhile Brian took me home, but he never left my sight. I didn't want him too. I needed time to find myself again. No matter if I was stronger or not. I need to focus on myself and what dad and Dave said about me. I slept and kept having nightmares and screamed. Life kept getting harder to bear and live through. "Babe are you ok? Maybe talking will help..." "NO!" He knew I didn't want to talk about it. I hated talking about my problems. It seemed like I was pushing the more he pulled. He cared so much and I just wasn't talking... then one day he sat down next to me and told me, "Babe, I have a surprise for you and YOU'RE coming!" He pulled me up and my hand was now just in a brace. I followed him to the car, and buckled up. We drove for like two hours. Then we pulled up to a building. He got out and opened my door. "Babe follow me."  I did and we went in. We went into an elevator and went to the 14th floor. We got out and it was a psychiatrists' office.
      "No no no please no no!" He held me hand and reassured me that it would be ok. He checked me in and we waited patiently. "Ms. Bean?" I held his hand tight and stood up, "Y y yes?" She smiled reassuringly and opened the door for me, "Please come with me." I followed the wonderful lady. She looked like she was in her mid-forties, she looked beautiful though. "Please sit here and when Dr. Blue is ready he will see you." I nodded and played with my hands. I was so nervous. As she was about to leave she put her hand softly on mine, "Whatever you went through, just know that it is over and won't happen to you again." It calmed me a little and I smile. She left and I waited for about 30 minutes. Then a man with a ruff beard and short hair with glasses came out. "Ms. Bean come in please." He had a very wise sounding voice. I was so scared as to what would happen, but it was for the best.
