Ok. I've read a ton of PJO fanfic books, and about half way through, the entire book turns into an OC story.
Just sayin, people are here to read stories about the characters, not your OC.
So
-don't make your OC the main character
-don't add them to every chapter
-don't put in more than two
-do NOT let them date an obviously taken character (ex. Percy)
-don't make them have more than four names
-do not make them a full brother/sister/twin of one of the characters
-don't make them a child of Artemis or Hera
-don't make them blessed by more than one god
