Worlds Intertwine (Barry Allen)

Barry is a Jerk

I sit in a chair and twirl around
aimlessly. I check my watch again and it's been 10 minuets since Barry left to "figure stuff out".  Cisco and Harry are working on Cisco's glasses and I am basically security.

"So Harry who's my doppelgänger?" I ask casually.

"I will not tell you about them useless we meet them" Harry says while slamming down a screwdriver. I put my hands up and continue to twirl. I then start to play with objects in the room moving them up and down with my powers. I then do my hair into two French braids and check on Earth-2 Barry, who is still asleep.

When I get back to Harry's office Barry is there. He looks up to me and he looks like he is in emotional pain. I raise an eyebrow and walk over.

"Barry?" I ask.

"Caitlin and Ronnie or Killer Frost and Deathstorm, are evil on this Earth. They attack the lounge we were in and Joe is in the hospital with Iris" Barry says.

"That's creepy but they got dope names" Cisco says I roll my eyes at him.

"Did you figure anything out?" I ask Barry.

"Not really I got caught up in stuff" he says and looks away. I glare at him and he doesn't eye contact.

"Stuff?" I question.

"I am married to Iris on this Earth and we went to see Joe perform. Turns out this Joe hates me and when we were attacked he saved Iris. Now he's in the hospital" Barry rambles on. My blood runs hot through my body, I cross my arms and try to control my anger.

"Barry we need to find Zoom, now he will know we are here. Jesse's time is running out an her death will be on you" Harry says.

"Jesse has time, okay? Iris and Joe need me now-"

"It's not Iris your Iris and Joe are back home safe"

"Yes it is Iris! Okay, she is to me. Her an Joe are my family. I would think by now you would understand how important family is" Barry yells angrily he turns around and runs his hand through his hair. When he looks over to me his anger melts away slightly. He walk over to me after seeing my face of betrayal.

"Juno I-" he starts but I cut him off.

"Save it Barry" I say cooly with no emotion. He freezes and back off. I turn away from him addressing Harry and Cisco. "I'm going to go for a walk. I have my com in if you need me" I turn away and walk out the door. I walk down the hall and a lone tear slips down my hot cheek.

I have been walking around Central City for an hour or so now and have only slightly calmed down. I walk into the library and decide to find my doppelgänger. I turn on a computer and stare at the screen not sure what to press for a while. When I eventually find the Internet it is surprisingly internet explorer, but like 100 times better. I then search up my name and wait for results. When they do show up I am surprised.

Juno Kestrel is a renowned scientist and meta-human advocate. Her powers are that she can grow plants around her. Meta-human name is Daughter Nature.

Wow. Earth-2 me is happy and a scientist. I shrug and power off the computer. I walk out of the library and check the time it's 8:39pm and curfew is at 9pm. I have nowhere to go so I decide I'll just hide in a tree or something.

I walk down the the ocean and sit on the park bench. I see couples hurrying home and I roll my eyes. I walk along the sea wall and think. Why does Barry still have feelings for Iris. We are dating and he's told me he loves me yet he's married to Iris on this Earth and totally is attached to her. Maybe old feeling came back when he found out they were "married". Maybe he didn't think he had a chance with Iris and that's why he was dating me, but now he thinks he has a chance. I am slipping into old habits, but can't stop it. It's 9:04pm and its dead silent, so I run.
